Where’s that one Sky Ferrari stan who said how proud they are that they know nobody that would spend money on seeing Katy live :rip:

Your fave performs with dancing poop while singing critically panned music for $30, let's not.

Sky has a history of addiction, so like to compare this to people who are just lazy is nagl. She literally has a disease.

No?  She's said multiple times that she's clean and also that she has some type of genetic disorder that affects her health.  She broke up with her ex (Cole) many years ago because he was an addict and she couldn't handle him any more, and he even went on record during interviews to confirm this and also that the breakup inspired him to go to rehab and get clean.  The arrest she was involved in was due to *his* drugs, and he said it was painful to watch her stand by him while losing brand deals and modeling contracts due to his behavior.  The "Sky does drugs" narrative is really inappropriate, especially when most of our faves have done worse in the past and yet are never labeled as addicts today for what they did over 10 years ago.  She's just an incredibly awkward person and has stage fright, that's just how she is.

@OP That's not horrible for her standards, and she sounds good, but I agree, she had zero energy.  She flew all the way there for this, at least put more effort into your performance.

The label will finally have reasons to let her go. Poor streaming performance, poor stage presence, no drive, no personality, literally giving nothing.

Luckily with the economy being so bad here in the US, she can get a serving job easily. That way she can finally claim she served SOMETHING.

She could learn a thing or two about presence and energy from that **** puppet considering the mass evacuations of the stage she was causing yesterday.

Diehards at the front kept on cheering the puffs of smoke on stage during the period that she was late, which about sums up what you guys have been doing for the last 10 years. Good luck!

No one stans Sky for her lack of performance skills, she has fans who show up to concerts after 10 years of silence because her music is both subjectively and objectively good.  No giant toilet or dancing **** needed.  Other artists can't relate, go focus on that.

No performance skills. No music. Just running on the fumes of a good p4k review from 2013. It must be tough for you guys! Maybe another few years in Capitol's dungeon will help after the critical and commercial failure of Don't Forget. At least Halsey kept the seat warm for a few weeks.

You do realize that, like most people, we have many other artists that we love and listen to, right?  All of this over an indie artist you don't even like... you sound completely unhinged.  If and when Sky releases more music, we'll be there to listen and support.  Also, Don't Forget is critically acclaimed and sounds like classic Sky, not sure what you're getting at.

The thing is I did like her (or at least a lot of her songs, the progression of her career since has inevitably frustrated me into occasional hater status) and thus went to her show yesterday, and it was bad enough to completely put me off her :rip: I was doing my best to dance and sing along to songs like I Blame Myself and Your Not The One but it's hard when you're putting in more energy than her. I get she has stage fright but at the very least she can turn up on time.

As if anyone will ever spend that much money on Sky. :rip: It’s called camp and it’s Vegas, stop hating on creativity and fun (I get that a Sky fan may not know about this). Also having STREAMED classics >>> appealing to a handful 40 y/o snobbish white gays on pitchfork who secretly hate you anyway.

OT: Sky is so awful. I've never understood what people see in her - surely it's not a solid performance they're sticking around 10yrs for :deadbanana2:

Can confirm that you missed absolutely nothing :rip:

I saw the first 3 songs and left. She was late, had technical issues (probably not her fault) and was wasted. The worst act of the festival for me :rip:

the way she performed at another festival today and once again, she sounded awful and nobody enjoyed it :skull:

like, what is going awn.... shes not the best at live shows but these last 3.. yikes

Ok that makes sense, ya I mean I would probably feel the same if I was in your situation.  She is much better in small indoor venues (honestly pretty great) but I watched her at THAT P4K festival years ago so I know what you mean.  I don’t get why she would show up if she is scared to perform after all these years, but she said it helps her pay for her studio time soooo

Dancing poop is maybe fun and silly if you are 8 years old, definitely not creative and the audience at Vegas is usually OLD, hence the need to heavily discount tickets.  I like some of Katy’s music but she’s never taken herself seriously which is both a good and bad trait.  Sky is basically an indie artist, so it never made sense to compare her to MPGs who actually look spoiled in comparison to someone who needs to pay for *everything* herself.  Finally, not sure why you think her fans are only white gays (they’re not), and not sure why a Katy Perry stan out of all people would even bring that up.

I've been looking over her setlists of last weekend, and it's looking absolutely tragic :hoetenks:

How do you manage to do three different festivals in one weekend and have the same thing happen every single time!?

  • Primavera, Portugal: She started 20 minutes late, played just six songs and was kicked off of stage. Downhill Lullaby, I Blame Myself, I Will, Heavy Metal Heart, All My Lovers Die, Hands All Over Me, Voices Carry and Everything is Embarrassing were on the paper setlist, but she didn't play them.
  • Primavera, Spain: Started 15 minutes late, played ten songs, of which two only partly. First song (Boys) was restarted cause of technical difficulties and then abandoned after the first verse. All My Lovers Die was abandoned too. "Downhill Lullaby", "I Will", "Heavy Metal Heart" and "Hands All Over Me" were on the paper setlist but not performed. She only got to do 'Everything is Emberassing' at the end cause she asked for extra time.
  • Best Kept Secret, Netherlands: 20 minutes late, played ten songs. "Don't Forget", "Downhill Lullaby", "I Blame Myself", "I Will", "Voices Carry" and "Innocent Kind" on were on the written setlist, but they weren't played.

I knew this girl was bringing the drama all the time, but this is too much :rip:

I don't wanna drag on about this forever but I just had to share this review of the show she gave at Best Kept Secret festival, cause it's just too sad..

BKS22: Sky Ferreira: heroin chic hasn't been chic for long
Hoped comeback queen only radiates faded glory

There was a time when millions of girls wanted to be her. Sky Ferreira, it girl, socialite, model who brought back Kate Moss' heroin-chic look, but with bleached-white and dark gray circles under her eyes that showed she meant business. If you also kept a Tumblr page ten years ago (full of moody photos of very slim girls with those very high knee socks) then you know: Sky Ferreira was everywhere.

Of course this also had to do with Night Time, My Time, her debut album from 2013. A really cool record full of catchy pop tunes, but also grungy enough to charm the indies snobs. Even then, she was plagued by a rather, er, complicated reputation. That she was arrested with her ex (that guy from DIIV) with a scary stash of heroin did not help and Ferreira has been a big mystery ever since. She has never played in the Netherlands (except at a Tommy Hilfiger party with Holy Ghost! and De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig?!), and her second album Masochism has been postponed since 2014. Two separate singles have been released in the past three years, this year it should finally happen. In Hilvarenbeek she gives a taste of what Sky Ferreira will sound like in 2022. And that is a best kept secret that she should have kept to herself.

This is really not okay. Look at how she stumbles across the stage, as if shell-shocked, black sunglasses planted firmly on her nose. Constantly sipping a drink that only seems to make her shiver more. During 'Heavy Metal Heart' she sings out of tune and next to the microphone, forgets the words of her lyrics and then looks bewildered at her band members. It seems like she has no idea what the next song they are going to play. She also plays an unreleased song - 'Innocent Kind' - and that does not give much hope for that new album. At the front there are still a few die-hards singing along and the band really tries to make something of it, but there is nothing to compete with. Sky gives the energy of an empty bag of squeezed fruit, and at the end of the set there is just as little left of the audience.

THE MOMENT:
In the chorus of one of her golden pop songs, she sings: 'Nobody asked me if I was okay', and you really can't get it worse. Oh no, oh no, oh no. This is so sad, so tragic, so terribly sad to see, that you can really only feel sorry.

yeah, there were so many people in the audience in Barcelona and half of them left before it was over. Like there are so many other artists that deserve her hype :sadviolin:
