Her team is truly terrible  you dont release singles based on trends you release them based on what sound fits the artist the best and what they are known for and what songs usually smashes for artists like them. Ghost is such a H&M mall bop it would have smashed as a lead single in Europe

For an ideal rollout they would’ve pre-filmed the videos for Ghost & Get Outta My Heart and released Ghost as the lead March 2022 with the album coming out in May just in time for the summer. Get Outta My Heart would have been pushed as the summer single and she would have atleast 1 monster smash in Europe (and maybe a cute top 50 peak in the US) and one medium sized European hit. 
 

No one would call the era disasterous and it would be succesful by her standards

I think MYTP is generally more know so it makes sense. She wasn't there to promote but to receive a prize..
