Remember when her label let her release the alternative experimental non commercial album with a really big budget including a literal hour long film and all? She should be grateful tbh. She should be grateful for being allowd to release the music she wants to make and for having artistic direction and integrity? The f? Anyway the album did good. She has a solid fan base and can tour. She totally has the right to call out her label.

Baby Judas Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 I think this is part of the fake tiktok viral moment that she’s talking about. literally giving me those “my label won’t allow me to release this song because it’s not catchy enough. Let’s prove them wrong and stream the song on Spotify, it’s dropping next month” tiktok clout chaser vibes.

mellenthin Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 the way this is the fake viral moment on tiktok she's talking about
punisher Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 (edited) she just said on her insta live that she had to reproduce many songs with max martin because they weren’t pop enough and the label refused to fund them. and they delayed her single because they want it to go viral on tiktok Edited May 22, 2022 by punisher

She is trying to get hype for her new song by posting/whining about it on TikTok, let’s be realistic here. I am probably the biggest Halsey hater on this site and even I will admit you're spewing stupidity in this. There's so much that goes on behind the scenes and artists are more often monkeys or investments to labels vs. actual equals. It's easy to blame the artist or Halsey who is annoying af but maybe we should look at the system overall. It's a hard game. Edited May 22, 2022 by ahauntingnearu
ATRL Moderator MissedTheTrain Posted May 22, 2022 ATRL Moderator Posted May 22, 2022 TikTok is one of the most annoying things to happen to the music industry in a while, I hate how artists have to deal with this stuff now.
Goofy Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 shading the same label who made her believe she sold 165M records, lmao

She’s complaining about not being able to release a song while that song is playing in the background the whole video & counts towards streaming. She wants this video of her bitching about ‘label issues’ to blow up & make her seem like an authentic artist, but really just wants the TikTok sound that she just uploaded to go viral Her whole TikTok account is cringy af too. These girls wouldn’t have survived 1 day back in the 00s
Yog Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 Halsey IG story was very eye opening of many reasons because It seems capitol was doing the same thing towards Sam/LLM 1. It’s quite obvious they were hoping the song would go viral on TikTok which failed.. 2. Other than radio, it’s not getting any other promo So I’m curious if this was an passion piece by Sam but capitol wasn’t feeling it hence the weak promotion “Bluebird” is definitely more upbeat/uptempo I assume their gonna put more effort on that
Alex Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 shocked she's having label issues despite being 4 albums in already, i thought she was well established and had a big enough fanbase to just put anything out

raven Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 whether you choose to believe her particular case or not, this exact scenario has been echoed many times now by different artists

Zymphonic Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 The fact that she's closer to 165 records sold than 165M
Alyssa Edwards Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 165M records sold in 8 years by... Halsey ???? Streaming era truly has ruined sales forever.
