Sad Beautiful Tragic Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Adele’s highly anticipated fourth album failed to meet the expectations of many. Some would even argue that it was an underperformance for her. What do you think went wrong? Can Adele recover?
Zaynsus Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 - Wrong second single choice + atrocious music video for it - Vegas - The two concerts with the "elite" in the audience which ruined her "relatable", "girl next door" image - Still not releasing Cry Your Heart Out as a single
Homebrand Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Gap between 25 and 30 was way too long. Same sound for her entire career, and 30 is also arguably her worst album.

Severus Snape Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Wrong? She just stopped promoting even before vegas gate. Promo went too early and all the impressions created by it went on to boost EOM. Her team should have scheduled some of the promo to last until December/January. And release EOM-IDW-OMG videos back to back and revive the era with CIGT summer video in June. The GP doesn't care about vegas gate tho and just ATRL... people would still pay 500 bucks to see her singing against a velvet curtain backdrop.
EtherealCat Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 easy on me wasn't good enough, its obviously very successful but it just didnt generate the same sort of interest that hello managed, too bland. taylors record breaking release the week before was also a complete disaster especially since atwtvtmvwisdfgv was such an event and completely overshadowed adeles return and there was nothing ready to bring focus back to adele for release week, the only notable thing shes done since release is the vegas debacle
Into The Void Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Hasnt this topic been posted weekly since release?
Blue Monday Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Begging y’all to get a job instead of rehashing this sh*t
unison stan Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 she waited too long and stopped promoting album like after release week also still no 3rd single. still a successful album (it's best selling album of 2021 after all) but an underperformance for her standarts

byzantium Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 The gap between the album was enough time for people to loose interest. The album was not good enough to recapture people's interest.
aesthetic bih Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 First, she played it way too safe. Sure, she tweaked a few stuff here and there, but it's still pretty much the same old same old. If she wanted to reinvent, she should've went ALL OUT. She shouldn't have hesitated and made sure 30 sounds nothing like 21 and 25. Second, the follow-up single's MV (OMG) was BORING, & to think that initially there was big hype for it only for people to move on after they have snoozed at the vid. Third, complacency. She drops the material and expect people to just do their thing for her without her exerting further effort to maintain the hype for her songs/ videos. Also, she needs new inspiration. Her song themes always revolve around the same topics. Like, come up with something new!
Billionaire Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 She is not offering anything new or interesting in her album. Why go to Adele when Gen Z has Olivia doing like the exact same thing but better Vegas-gate & her overall diva attitude this entire era ("I'm the only one making authentic music" etc etc) probably turned some people off too especially when her appeal was being the exact opposite
Zaram Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 This topic is getting made weekly and people still decide to write essays
PlERRE Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 I wanted to believe in the 30 era, but I was blind, only the cover alone was a bad start for the era.
Solaria Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 (edited) Olivia Rodrigo replaced her tbh, she is not necessary in this musical climate anymore Edited April 24, 2022 by pieceofgök
Selegend Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 The gap between the 2 projects Adele doesnt like to work, didnt manage to find interest with the new generation and the older generation consumed other music these past years while she was MIA. still was successful, but clearly not a impressive level of success for those reasons
