Adele dumps creative team behind Vegas residency, hires new one

Adele has reportedly fired the creative team behind her Las Vegas residency – and hired a new one in hopes of saving it, UK’s The Telegraph reports. According to the outlet, Adele, 33, dumped her longtime set designer, Esmeralda “Es” Devlin, amid rumors that the two had explosive arguments over the show’s vision.

She’s reportedly replaced her with Kim Gavin, artistic director for English pop group Take That, and Stufish, the team producing the Rolling Stones’ upcoming anniversary tour. A source who claims to have “intimate knowledge about the shows” told the outlet that the new creative duo will “look after and develop a new show as everything from the Es show has been scrapped.”

The same insider claims that the provisional plan is to start the residency at the end of July or beginning of August, which would be consistent with the summer concert schedule at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum, where the original 24 shows were set to take place.

She should be the next host of the apprentice with all this firing. :duca: I’d watch. :jonny:

What a mess :skull:

I really hope everyone was paid and none of the workers lost out because this sounds like a ridiculous situation.

I still want to see her live despite all these debacles :jonny:

She should scrap the vegas residency and just go to a World Tour. People would pay crazy amounts to see her and she can rebuild her image.

After what happened people will think several times before booking a trip to see her.

It’s a good way to rebuild her image

Can she just cancel it already so those of us who have tickets can get our money back? They've been pushing this "residency returning in June" thing for months but we've had no updates until this story about her firing her whole team which doesn't inspire a lot of confidence that this tour is gonna start in like a month.

I read on deuxmois that this creative team is having trouble with her too, and that they think starting in August is very doubtful/ probably won't happen.

So the reports that she appeared two days before and didn’t like the show and decided to cancel it were right…

Love her, but I thought she said it was delivery delays and COVID that led to her delaying the shows? If that's the case then why fire the creative team?

If the residency is still happening, I swear to God, Adele, these shows better deliver... :deadbanana2:

That situation is a real mess but if she somehow manages to actually launch her residency, I feel like it would still be mega successful.

Why even post this? :rip:

I'm ready to see how creative the stage will be as she stands there in all black and sings. Sounds like a tough job.

all this drama over creative direction when all she does is stand onstage, walk around, and sing. how hard is that to arrange?
