Taylor has the most loyal fanbase of almost any artist in history  And most of us love her for the music, not the success. She hasn’t gotten a smash hit in ages, she’s letting evermore plummet down the charts, she dropped Red TV and hasn’t said a word about it since release week — and yet we are still here, supporting the music we love to hear.

I thought I was the only one who thought that. I don't think Taylor herself has become any more smug than she was back ten years ago, but I do feel like a lot of her stans have become very haughty. Not all of them, but the ones that are on stan Twitter and then go join other sites.

 

OP: I'd probably start stanning again. Every icon needs a dark period (commercially) to transform them into a bona-fide legend.

Most of us have been fans since debut/fearless, she got a new batch of fans with 1989 and then with Folklore. Swifties are the most loyal fan base because we love her music and songwriting and we love seeing her grow and explore new sounds with every album. She's never released a bad one and she's actually invested in her career as a musician.

Of course there are a bunch of bandwagoners who fell off over the years (like some people here), but the majority is still with her 16 years in.

Lover will pass reputation in US units in a few years. Folklore and Red TV are obviously extremely successful. Evermore and Fearless TV arent quite up there, but are still very far from bombing
