First of all, you definitely had the hardest schedule and times to juggle since day one... yet, you were present for literally every round... and not just as a quick spooning participant. You actively submitted for so many challenges, even if they were at like 2 AM for you. I was truly enthralled by your passion and determination here. And let me just note for everyone about how gracious and flexible you were with accepting the various times, even when you were on the short end of the stick. Your adaptability was so very appreciated. Seven challenge wins across the season is very impressive -- we've had season winners with about this number of challenge wins tbh! You should be proud of how you slayed. I am so glad to hear that you had a thrilling and fun journey this season, and that the timing worked out so perfectly. Also very happy to hear you made new friends through this experience!! On the other hand, I am very sad that you just fell short of the end, and if you do play another season, I think many people would put their money on you. Thank you for playing and also THANK YOU for the charity challenge the other night! It was very fun to experience the chaos of Scavenger Hunt, and your #Spoon4Good donation is very kind. <3 I look forward to our continued collaboration in Golden Hit! (time for me to read these R3 entries!) Team shelven loses their fourth player. Only one, EriKills, remains. It really was a wild, unpredictable ride. Now the dust has settled I’m honestly glad I don’t have to do the 24 hour challenge n but I’ll keep an eye out for the other two to see what I’ve missed!

ATRL Moderator Element Posted June 4, 2022 Author ATRL Moderator Posted June 4, 2022 5 hours ago, Aurora said: But wow, what a moment. I can honestly say I didn't expect to reach the top ten when I signed up for this tournament, let alone top five. My only past experience with Let's Spoon was a couple of mini seasons (and apparently one full season about 7 years ago which I honestly have no recollection of) and I was absolutely not prepared for this extended commitment and often awkward times of challenges. The main, if not only thing, that kept me going was the addition of this season's teams aspect, which was so much fun. I didn't really know any of my team members before this tournament and now I feel like I can genuinely call most of them friends, it's been wild! I had so much fun throughout this whole experience, even though at times it was stressful, inconvenient, and made me question my sanity. ...and of course final thanks go to @Element for running this insane, wild, hilariously difficult, time-consuming, mind-boggling, friendship-spawning, spoontacular tournament risen from the fiery pits of hell. Your dedication and determination to making everyone feel included, listened to, and considered when setting challenge times and making adjustments to challenges based on significant real world events has not gone unnoticed, and of course your generosity and philanthropy with the charitable aspect of this season. You are a true Games section legend and your impact and warming presence goes far beyond the realms of Let's Spoon. I wasn't really planning on writing an essay, but I am feeling so many emotions right now, most of which are positive, and this will likely be my last season participating in Let's Spoon given a recent exciting job opportunity that has opened up for me this week which will mean a lot more, rigid working hours and less flexibility or room to stay up hours into the night for a spoon. But this is a very good beginning of a new chapter for me, and I'm so glad I signed up for this tournament all in all. Good luck to the Top 4, the coaches (and thanks to ALL the coaches for their participation and continued activity in this tournament even after their teams' dissolution), and Element on another amazingly chaotic finale of Let's Spoon. ?????????????? Also thank you so much for these kind words!! I really appreciated all of this <3 and I'm so glad that my hosting has made an inclusive and fun environment for all! it's a lot of work but it's very worth it! I think I need to use this in the future season marketing materials: "insane, wild, hilariously difficult, time-consuming, mind-boggling, friendship-spawning, spoontacular tournament risen from the fiery pits of hell"... you couldn't have said it better!!!

ATRL Moderator Element Posted June 4, 2022 Author ATRL Moderator Posted June 4, 2022 @EriKills @Gateau @Henry @hofork Congratulations to the final 4!! One member left from each of our final 4 teams: shelven, RL, Psycho, and Staryu From Saturday, June 4th at 9 PM EST (countdown) through Sunday, June 5th at 9 PM EST, we will be holding the infamous 24 hour challenge. Please let me know if you have any questions. This challenge will be held on ATRL, not our temporary forum, since alumni/eliminated contestants do not all have accounts there. ACTION ASAP: Please select one half hour period where NO spoons can be posted at all. As you'll see in past seasons, people have selected adjacent time slots to make a full hour or more. Here is the link to last season for more info:
smholiv Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 I'd like my 30 minutes off to be 8:30PM-9:00PM EDT Sunday

I'm essentially condemned to fail in a pure speedposting challenge on this site

Your run in Let's Spoon is very impressive and this season was no exception! I know that you were a bit bummed to not grab any challenge wins this time.. but with all of the complexities you're dealing with in life, I think you should be very proud of this showing! Your last minute (and possibly peer pressured) decision to play was much appreciated! I can't thank you enough for your dedication and determination to the game, whether that was on the road, at a Starbucks, or juggling a filming job. I really hope that things keep looking up for you personally as the year goes on! Also, between Survivor and Spoon, you have hit: 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 12th... you need to keep building up this Element bingo with the other placements now haha Team Staryu loses their fourth player. Only hofork remains. Thank you so much again Element, even though this game stresses me out I think it also helped my depression these last few months with my situation I’m going through. I did have a goal to reach top ten at least and I did so I’m proud of myself for that and no I can get to the end next time in a better mental state. Also thanks for being a friend on a personal level and introducing me to so many other challenging games outside of ATRL. You’re definitely one of the best members on this forum. Also thank you @Staryu for being the best coach and always doing your best to carry us along and push the best out of us. Since survivor we’ve been really tight and you have always been a friend to me even when others didn’t here. I’m glad I got to play two seasons of survivor with you and we skated both of them. @hofork Our arc over the coarse of Let’s Spoon has been interesting since we didn’t get along too well early season 11 but I feel over time I feel a mini brotherhood started to form. You were a great team member winning many challenges and keeping us immune even though I was confident in my abilities to spoon it was nice to have that safety and relax a bit. I’m rooting for you to finally get that win you deserve because you’re definitely one of the best players of all time. Would love to see you try survivor. @thecptz Now you’re the opposite of minho in the sense that we started off really good but then I don’t know what happened. I still love you though even though you drag me everyday but still praise me in the same breath it’s a mess but you’re a good person and you helped me a lot in survivor 9 by encouraging me to perform better in the challenges which I started to do after your scolding. Glad you got to make top ten and win two challenges as well. @Gateau Thanks for your message after I was eliminated that was probably the nicest thing you said to me since survivor season 9 lol. We’ve had quite the rollercoaster of a ride as we went from being friends early season to despising each other during FTC and then all stars which was the biggest mess and I truly did want to play with you that season but the stars wouldn’t align. The most hilarious part is us playing together in that other org and not knowing. (Element was kii-ing the whole time though) I’m glad we’ve put all that drama in the past and started to slowly talk again I hope to see you play Let’s Spoon next season and we can once again battle it out in the finals like old times. @EriKills STILL MAD AT YOU FOR NOT FINISHING FAMILY FEUD!!!! But congrats on final four and good luck with the rest of the game. You surprised me by getting this far although you get far in most games you play you just never win hehe. @Henry *rollseyes* @Remmy see above @shelven The spreadsheet is wonderful and beautiful although it was ugly on Tuesday. And to everyone else if I couldn’t get to you I’m sorry I’m just tired and want to wrap this post up because it’s getting a bit lengthy. Love all you and wish everyone still in the game the best of luck. Edited June 4, 2022 by dussymob

I was fully prepared to stay up 24 hours for this challenge but its just not accurate or fair to do it on here. nothing about my spooning methods/internet speed/reaction times changed from this forum to the next forum yet I went from struggling to not end up in the bottom to landing in top 10 consistently with ease. it just feels a bit pointless that after this whole month of effort and seeing the spoons down to the second we're coming down to a challenge that completely luck
smholiv Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 you did super well @dussymob!! It was a recurring theme in our team chat about how fragile our team was and I know you had to overcome some obstacles so it's even more impressive that you got yet another top ten given the circumstances, and that shows that you're a strong player for sure
smholiv Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 idk what we're deciding here but pls can it be just on one forum :cri:
