It’s kinda crazy how often Epic Records tried to create a MPG and completely failed 

 

I mean Meghan and Caca were of to a good start, but failed to replicate their success. In case of Meghan I think people only digged her doo *** sound and that’s why she kinda flopped afterwards and as for CaCa I mean she really just had Havana and the rest was payola. The DaBaby song was basically a failed replication of Havana. Too bad not even that PR relationship and break up helped. Oh well wonder which girl Epic will push next. Not Caca me thinks

No, they are catastrophic. Her fanbase made fun of Billie's HTE and called it a bomb when HTE debuted at #1 with 238k sold while Familia is expected to debut at #13 with 25k sold.

This is less than Charli XCX and Avril's last albums. It's less than Kesha's last album. And unlike those albums, Camila had massive playlisting and did lots of promo, including a TikTok concert and SNL.

 

This is also one of the weakest charts in a while. The #1 album is projected to sell less than 50k.

I think ATRL is exaggareting a bit. numbers are not great, but todays climate is horrible.

 

fivio foreign on the same day released DEBUT ALBUM and he managed to do 29k. maybe ATRL doesnt care about fivio foreign but he was hyped to heavens

and hes a RAPPER and hiphop fans usually go hard.

 

the whole western music needs complete revamp.

Meghan would have been good with likeable songs and likeable look, going ginger then being savage is aint it especially she doesnt have the fanbase.

 

Camila is smashing from Havana to Senorita, the problem is that they became unfocused by bombarding the radio with left and right singles.

It also makes it all the more embarrassing that a brand new Camila album can't even crack the top 10 in a week where the #1 is going to be an album selling less than 50k. Majority of the albums in the top 10 are several months old and 3 of the 5 albums competing for #1 weren't even released this year.

You're so right, she got the biggest bomb of all time to prevent anyone else suffering like she did and still ended up adored by the new generation with multiple recurrent classics and even got a viral hit out of a remix of Big Hoops (from said bomb album). The way she won in the end
