The Disney gay adults and their extreme gay agenda won’t be felt until the next one when they pressure the studio to include a trans icon diva or they will boycott the film. Only way James can escape this one is to have one of the main characters transition something something, forced gay love or sex scene something something, must include full penetration etc. Wasn’t a Disney gay in here a few weeks back complaining that avatar is racist bc no poc star in any roles and bc it was mocking black and indegenous? Disney gays must be stopped. Y’all gonna ruin it for James.
Donquizote Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Next weekend will be 40M++ me thinks if it drops 50%. Hoping for a boost after Golden Globes and Oscar. I think this will do another 100M in China when COVID situation there improves.

PlERRE Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 I never expected this to do so well, especially because people were bored of waiting and the perception of the first one aged like milk (I love it tho Justice for Leona Lewis' I see you).
Gorjesspazze9 Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 (edited) As a self proclaimed Avatar hater since 2009, I must admit this was a good Film. Better than the first, and pretty entertaining the whole way through. But I felt the length, this movie is long AF. Also anyone else feel like the action scenes were All on 2x Speed🤣 the visuals are amazing, I can’t take that away from it. Honestly the best looking Blockbuster I’ve ever seen. The acting and emotion was stellar. The plot was pretty straightforward and accessible to everyone. I thought all the family members being the main character was done well! only major problem I really had was that it felt like 4 hours and could have been trimmed a hour or so. And the action complaint I already mentioned. I also feel like 3D felt better here than the first, but didn’t really make me feel the need for it. (I’m not really a 3D fan in general) Edited December 26, 2022 by Gorjesspazze9
Gorjesspazze9 Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 (edited) As far as success, everyone knew this was gonna be a Blockbuster smash regardless. I never understood why the first one became the biggest film ever in the first place, like I get the ground-breaking VFX, but the story and characters were infamously boring and overrated. Way of water isn’t really that deep as it wants people to believe. and it follows a similar format that James Cameron complains about Marvel blockbusters for. (like this plot is no better than MOM or Wakanda Forever. Follows the same beats of both films💀). But the film does feel like a summer/Christmas family Blockbuster event and delivers on action and visual spectacle. It’s already made a billion world wide and will probably end up doing 2 Billion this time next month. Disney & James truly never lose Edited December 26, 2022 by Gorjesspazze9
Cryptique Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 This outgrossing TOP GUN doesnt feel right.. MAVERICK remains the best BOX OFFICE SMASH of 2022..

futurenostalgic Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 nah the pre-sales and china "opening" more theatres got me thinking it was reaching 3+ Billion. mess. but anyway, someone from fox/disney needs to stamp down those inaccurate "needs 2B to break even" news. math ain't mathing. when cameron said that, it sounded like was more for BOTH avatars 2 and 3?

KnightOfAllRealms Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Watched it yesterday and loved it James Cameron remains the GOAT. The sheer emotional core and character moments in this single film >>> majority of blockbusters from the past decade

Donquizote Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Ready for ATRL to start stanning for Avatar just because it smashes
Liafen Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 I had the stupidest dream about this the other day. I loved Panini sticker albums as a kid and dreamt that they made one for this movie aswell and I started collecting them (still kinda sad that they didn't, that would've been cool)
Massive_Teardrop Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Watched it on Saturday in imax 3d and I really loved it, it was better than the first to me. Long movie but not once did I feel disengaged from the pacing and I love James Cameron's character building/arcs. Best blockbuster I've seen all year.
