My mom got a Medicare advantage plan and the company would call her for stuff she wasn't using; home health evaluation visits(2 x a year), podiatrist visits(3 x a year), hearing evaluation and glaucoma screening. And she loved it, as none of it cost her anything more than her time. Those four are probably the items with the biggest margin between their cost and what Medicare pays them.
Vroom Vroom Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I didn't really follow politics in 2016, but I remember people saying back then that Republicans would never win a presidential election again and then Trump won In a two party system the pendulum of power will always go back and forth. If Biden wins in 2024, it will be an uphill battle for a new democrat candidate to win 2028. Unless they are an incredible charismatic once in a life time politician. Harris is pretty much guaranteed the nomination if Biden wins and she is not that type of rare politician (but she may have a chance if she is the incumbent by 2028 )

There's this sense of (mostly white and latino) straight male backlash happening that's maybe even stronger than in 2016. It almost feels like round two of that year with the way the Dem establishment doesn't know how to respond to this new wave of conservatism. This was the obvious result of Dems going all in on idpol. Of course there will be backlash from young (white) men who have grown up with one party telling them they are privileged oppressors.

Are their fee-fees that fragile?

It's just obvious a lot of straight men (no matter their race) get turned off by the women and gay championing the Democratic Party does. I don't agree with them being turned off by it but it does seem to be one of the big things driving them away. Luckily the Democratic Party is also attracting newer voters at the same time. Suburban voters. (Men and women) so hopefully that helps offset it
