He was either gonna pick someone like Pence, a bland and boring religious Conservative, or Vance, a bland and boring MAGA Conservative. He has to be the STAR! 100% why he chose JD Vance. That and Vance probably sucked up to him like crazy.

Vermillion Posted July 22 Posted July 22 This is his 14th post just today, in case anyone was wondering 1

Blade Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Imagine the optics of #TeamPretty Kamala Harris and Andy Beshear.
GraceRandolph Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Not Marianne coming for Kamala for locking up people for weed, and dragging Biden outpacing Trump in terms of oil permits. Oh Marianne you have what it takes to win this. 1 1
Virgos Groove Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Marianne is to @GraceRandolph what Iggy Azalea is to @SmittenCake. 11
Vermillion Posted July 22 Posted July 22 I love how the Secret Service's deleted Jan. 6 texts and literal firings for fear from Joe's team of some biased agents deliberately leaving him in harm's way seem to have escaped all discussion today. Regardless..
Vermillion Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Vance's first campaign rally as VP pick was as if the YouTuber that does the hedge funder gaslighting boyfriend parody videos was actually a real person, and that real person was told to imitate a poor farmer about 30 seconds before being shoved on stage. Probably the weirdest thing I've witnessed since following politics closely about a decade ago. 2 5
Happylittlepunk Posted July 22 Posted July 22 (edited) I think beshear is the best choice for Kamala I know he isn't from a swing state but he has the best track record and seems to have the highest voter approval rate out of any governor in the entire country. She will win the progressive vote and independent vote with a vote pick with a very good track record. Which is exactly what she needs. She already a WOC running the cultural war she needs someone that can fill her weaknesses and convince independents, progressives, and midwestern states to vote for her. this video does a good job summarizing all the potentials for Kamala. Tovitov Posted July 22 Posted July 22 I don't imagine the first polls are going to be great for Harris but it at least feels like she can actively campaign and try and make up the deficit. By the end there, Biden was barely doing a campaign event a week. 8
Vermillion Posted July 22 Posted July 22 I'm going to play the hardened cynic and say that Beshears approval rating wouldn't be as high as it is if he wasn't essentially just a pretty figurehead with super majorities against him opposing almost every single move if not overriding his vetoes. He's the non-threatening guy coasting on personality because there's no chance of him actually having to truly articulate policy positions he can't pass I mean, Communion had some solid points, but it'd be another situation entirely if his state was remotely competitive and democratic
bunnyeyes Posted July 22 Posted July 22 (edited) just saw this was already posted, but this is why we wanted to give her a chance. Once she's in the White House she will be able to articulate her own policy. Edited July 22 by bunnyeyes
