Also the male chanting they threw in Paint The Town is too much. Ryan Jhun over did his influences there. 

 

Edit: Listened to Paint the Town again. Loona 's rapline is probably some of the worst in girlgroups ever.

Yeri and Irene are worse IMO  especially Yeri, her "rap" is awful.

the problem with Le Stalefim is that we were expecting something fresh and groundbreaking (it's HYBE, the first few teasers and concept stuff were really cool)

 

but then they gave us basic nugu with more talented than average members and a better than average song.

They are from Source music not Bighit, Bang helped with the music production and other stuff, but that's about it, so don't expect Bighit level of artistic direction with this group.

That’s true, but I was expecting some ENHYPEN level quality with their debut. Enhypen is also not directly under Bighit but Given-Taken was a SOLID debut song with amazing artistic direction that set the tone for their concepts going forward. Lesserafim is weaker in that aspect and the song is just mid-tier even though I love it as a runway-bop 

but the girls’ charisma is making it work imo. Especially Chaewon and Yunjin. And the mini is fantastic.

KPOP stans are so used to maximalism in the genre that the minute someone releases a more laid-back song it's seen as "boring" & "weak"  

 

Like, let's just be glad they didn't debut with some experimental mess like every other GG is doing.
