IVE charted on Spotify Australia and entered on BB Canada so yeah they got the global appeal if it was that easy aespa would have entered too In no way was I saying that it's not impressive. I was just wondering why do dives use that Apple Music stat to show that they're global when that stat is only possible due to being in Asian countries top 10 which is not indicative of global popularity. It's like claiming that BTS is popular among the US GP just because they have multiple HOT 100 #1s but the reality is that it is only possible due to fan-driven sales instead and are not indicative of GP popularity. If they charted there then use that stat, not Apple Music Global.
Gaia Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 The way this thread celebrates charting at #199 in Greece screaming "GloBAl!!@#!" and discounts "local" slayage is so ABSURD

I think it's a better indication of overseas popularity than Youtube views which tend to be driven by Kpop fandoms over time. Billionaire Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Garam really does give me Wonyoung x Jennie vibes, she really needs to book a luxury deal or something & Korea will forgive ha She & Kazuha are the main slayers of the group

I had to google her if she grew up in the US but found out she only had English tutoring at school and that’s it I guess her growing up in a neighborhood with American expats made some difference?

And I don’t think anybody is discounting aespa when they’re talking about IVE having a bright future and an immense possibility of being huge as I said before, there is a room for multiple 4th gen ggs to smash at the same time. And praising IVE’s success and the potential to truly be huge should not be met with angry replies with aespa comparisons and numbers. we’re finally seeing new girlgroups start to smash and stand on their own outside of the 3rd gen giants’ shadow like Blackpink and Twice…it’s just so exciting right now and I just wish people were enjoying the ride instead of being mad at other group’s success.

Good thing mnet edits the performances before airing them cause the vocals were kinda rough Spoiler I'm so convinced more than half of Kep1er performance was purely backing track I mean when you compare their stage vocal to WJSN, Hyolyn and Brave Girls which had a lot of up and down moments And that last Jessica part at the end with Hikaru, Bahi and Xiaoting were interesting

Seiko Oomori Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 ofc mnet would go rules for thee, not for me to shield their groups poor performance

Are we watching the same performance because the one I watched had them sounding fine? Chaheyun sounded messy and strained throughout. Dayola sounded perfect

IVE charted within the Spotify top 50. Literally the second girl group to do so and have been getting 1.2M streams everyday since that’s crazy huge. Top 5 in alot of SEA markets its definitely a big deal and this is only their first comeback. Aespa ain’t doing it as of yet, Wa Da Da also seems to be clearing Aespa’s global stats too.

Brooklyn Baby Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 (edited) https://entertain.v.daum.net/v/20220427110755180 A definite comeback schedule for girl group BLACK PINK has not been released yet. On the 27th, BLACKPINK's agency, YG, told Sports Trend, "Blackpink's comeback schedule has not been decided yet." The agency also said, "As for the comeback in June, many people are only speculating that way, but it has not been officially announced." “However, it is true that we are preparing for a comeback. When a detailed schedule comes out next time, I will tell you the official data.” Edited April 27, 2022 by Taeyong

Dialamba Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 The way the same drags which are used to IVE were used too against twice and Blackpink. Queenies behavior tbh.
