MALAMENTE Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 (edited) Hopefully they nominate Selena for Lead Actress at the Golden Globes tomorrow. They snubbed her last year. And they might want to increase their ratings to save the award show so I can see them nominating big names and popular tv shows, like Euphoria/Zendaya and similar. Another thing is Selena wanting to attend, since the GG rep is still not the best, although better than last year. I hope she attends once, just so she can cross that off her list. After Tuesday's Q&A, it will probably be the last time we see her in 2022. Excited to see candids of them filming S3 and hopefully we get other casting announcements (or actors in said candids like Shirley for last season). I hope they film on the second half of January so if they get the GG noms they can attend (since the ceremony is on a Tuesday and they film every weekday). They won't attend the CCA so no worries about that. And of course I hope they are allowed to go to the SAG awards next year, I feel like it will be another great night. On the music side, I don't know when she will be able to release the album. Filming for S3 will last till May more or less, if all goes right (S1 wrapped in mid-April and S2 in late March). Then she'll probably film and do stuff for Emmy campaigning and then move on to getting ready to film the movie in the summer. Where does the album fit? I feel like they will release S3 in the fall this time, so around September/October 2023 maybe. She'll be done filming by then I suppose and will promote the new season for a bit. Maybe she releases the lead in the summer to keep our asses quiet and then releases the album in the fall. Yes, just saw! I kinda hope she reposts on her story too since that might give us a hint as to whether she plans to attend or not. I checked the Golden Globes' IG account and various producing companies/streaming services have celebrated the nominations as well as some actors so I think this year will be rather normal. I hope they take the opportunity to go, I need her in front of that photocall backdrop so bad, it is kinda iconic to me lol. But yeah, I think Hulu may want them to go and I think they will begin filming shortly after the GG so it seems like it is not a coincidence. She may not want to though (or her own team) and if she doesn't go I doubt the Martins would go without her. And as always what I am most interested in is the potential interactions: she may reunite with Austin Butler, be in the same room with Anya, Margot, Michelle Yeoh, Guillermo del Toro, Hugh Jackman, Ana de Armas... it could be fun! And yes she skipped the red carpet but what matters is the actual show and she was there for the entirety of it and even presented. I’m sure she’ll attend next year too. And she attended every acting award show she can attend. She’s said a million times that she only attends awards when there is a reason for her to attend so she won’t attend the Oscars until she is nominated or a movie she has a big enough role in gets nominated (or is asked to present a category/the whole show with the Martins). She did everything right this year and put herself out there in the acting world ,and hopefully does the same next year too, except the CCA cause only Steve is nominated, (except the Grammys but honestly they are boring because less and less big stars attend each year).
