I wouldn't mind it at all, to be honest. It even makes sense: her turning 30, her birthday being on a Friday, her allegedly having a documentary on her life, this next album being her last in a while... it being self titled is perfect. Now, I don't know which would be better "Selena" or "Selena Gomez", probably the latter cause if she uses the other one people will come at her (and I kinda get it). Maybe "Marie", which is the name not a lot of people know and it would be cute with the whole documentary thing showing things that nobody knows about her life. 

 

Someone that apparently knows an insider said the album continues the R concept. So who knows really.

I usually don't like SF albums. I find it kinda lazy lol. But yeah, it's totally makes sense to call it Selena Gomez. 

The doc, the birthday, yeah, everything screams that the album will be Self titled. 

I need to accept this  asap 

 

Marie is a great option tbh, at least is not so obvious as Selena Gomez.

Self titleds never felt lazy to me tbh. Self titled albums are for some artists one of their most exceptional work imo and also usually represents the artist as a whole. To me it always feels like if the artist didn’t do self titled for their debut, but does it later on in their career it means “this album is basically who I am” or even reclaiming their name - which has definitely been a recurring theme in selena’s life in the past. So I like the idea of that for her last album in probably a good while.

SG is fine if it will be a really personal and honest album. She hasn't released a full personal album and this year is the best time.

Do you mean cover wise or just the roundtable? There’s been a Comedy Actress roundtable for the past 6 years straight but they don’t always get a cover so I doubt they’re getting one.

I don’t think they would scrap the comedy actress roundtable but do the comedy actor one so I think they just won’t get the cover, which is fine since they still do a mini photoshoot. Let’s hope she is actually in it cause

Maybe they win the Peabody and as a way of celebrating they release it? They know in advance if they won it since they have to film acceptance speeches so maybe that is what they do

Yuup. She will be everywhere.

Second single with high budget mv, radio and spotify payola. 

 

An album live performance on tiktok  would do numbers.

Live  performance on youtube  for every album track would be good too. Release one performance per week to help the album longevity and keep the fans entertained.

Let the GP choose the next single.

Right? I feel like they won’t even win at this point, which is a bummer cause it is such a cool, coveted award.
I do hope they release the trailer for it soon because… 

The Great released the official trailer for S2 exactly a month before. We are just 20 days away from the premiere so I don’t know what they are waiting for or what their plan is.
