Droplet era album - Still figuring out if it's a good idea

Roses - Will be a career defining album.
Redemption - Will be amazing.
This being said, this is all just me thinking about what could happen, not what is actually happening. I think these ideas are hot, and i'm not sitting and writing them because these ideas fit perfectly into my brain to enjoy every day.
SG 1.5, SG3, and SG4, then go perfectly into the next phase. Which like essentially we start to get more abstract, more experimental. These 3 albums which i enjoy working on, i just think are so cool.
But i've had to come to the conclusion of like, yes one day, i will be 35 years old and will have released these projects that we've been working on.
AirPods was a really great project to make in which i took my first attempt at writing a song called Roses. I did write it for Selena Gomez and Troye Sivan. But, i decided to release the demo first. Because, well because i made AirPods because well i just wanted it to be first. I was gonna call the whole thing Roses but i have an album concept for Roses that is so complex and needs a lot of love put into it. So i will be waiting for Roses to come to me soon. Then Redemption, is the same thing with AirPods. I will be testing songs off of Apple Pay which was initially called Redemption but will be called Apple Pay and make it again like, AirPods is Roses and Apple Pay is Redemption but i always think i can do a better job. So i keep my fantasies of those albums alive even if what i end up releasing doesn't hold up to those standards.

So yes, you can stream AirPods and look at it as Roses, but Roses is also what i'm calling an album i haven't written yet. The same thing with Apple Pay.
I also have an album that will not follow the theme that is super rock/pop and is very similar in theme to AirPods, look at the next one as a version of AirPods that is a more intense and honestly better version. Better in the sense that if you listen to it, your mind might be even more wrapped up in it than the first one. Except after every project that comes out, you will keep revisiting AirPods and continue realizing it's a masterpiece.
So yes, what i'm saying is is that my fellow Selenator ATRLers should stream my f***ing album. Goddamn. And yeah sometimes i pic R titles for important songs on my albums cuz of Selena. I spend years writing the R songs. Oh my god. Oh my god the amount of effort the R songs take out of me. The R songs take an eternity to write. And then, you write an R song and then you start coming up with different songs with the same name. Oh my god, i'm thinking about writing another song called Roses. And Redemption just dawned on me

"Wash me clean with your forgiveness

Baptize me something something something"

OOOO. I have to keep thinking. But i'm thinking about Redemption too. And then Roses oh i'm loving this new song i'm writing called Roses.

Btw, Emilia Perez just released an EP of the soundtrack (not the full album) and none of the songs where Sel is involved are out. It could be 2 things, they are still trying to figure out the publishing rights because of Interscope or they wanna push Mi Camino as a single and use that boost as a promo

It looks like she worked at the melody, not on songwritting. She does has a shot on supporting(that would be much better), problem is that the best actress category is very crowded and it could send some leads to run as supporting

Talking about the album (that she doesn't have YET)

I might be a bit dramatic, but this interview truly moved me lol. This was the most captivating interview Selena has given in a long time, and what she said was really deep and made sense. The love she's received for her acting after all these years even reflects in her eyes. I hope she doesn't completely give up on music, because her music is one of the things that saved my life. Even if she doesn't release an album, just dropping a few songs a year would be enough for us. I just hope she stays happy in her life, that's all I want to say.

that's fineee, souvenir did its honors.

we couldn't let that biased 'music' thread be the only discussion here for such a beautifully done photoshoot AND interview.

You're not being dramatic because I feel the exact same way and honestly started crying when she started discussing Spring Breakers given that's a really special film to me and I always loved her performance in it the most out of everything she's done. You're right that she hasn't looked this captivated in a long time and you can see a glimmer in her eyes that we haven't seen in a couple years. I feel like all those years she was upset over being told she wasn't a good enough actress and was never going to be taken seriously were worth it because it ultimately gave her newfound confidence and pushed her to start working with auteurs and helped her receive first Emmy nom and a Cannes award (something I never expected for her).

As much as I dearly miss Musiclena, I'm okay with waiting as long as I have to for her to come back if it means she's happy focusing on acting which has always been her pure passion. I can't wait to see her do more projects and feel like this is the start of something really big for her. Knocking on wood that she secured a nomination from the Academy :jonny5:

I just finished reading her Vanity Fair interview and feel like this was the most candid and vulnerable she's ever gotten with the press. Hearing her talk about being so scared to release MM&M to the point where she got lawyers involved is a kii though given that she's talking about the documentary like she opened up about her (alleged) history with drug usage in it when the worst we saw was a scene of her crying dd :rip:

Yeah, plus I didn't think she'd ever talk about pregnancy and wanting a family because it's pretty personal and none of our bussiness but it does give more insight on who's she is currently.

She talked about it during the MM&M press tour. She never really confirmed that she can't then though, she just questioned if she could but now we have a definite answer.

this interview, the vanity fair interview and photoshoot was the best thing she's ever done in years. the photoshoot from the snatched hair, cvnty fashion, make up and aesthetic is 11/10. the interview was so raw and i'm so surprised at how much she shared about her life and thoughts lately. this rewatching of her past iconic shows and movies also made me emotional and nostalgic. hearing her thoughts about it now  I wish they added Monte Carlo though cause that's a classic teen chick flick.

her face card has always been lethal

the fact that last year she re-peaked as a celebrity

and now she's a respected and rising actress that is yet to reach her peak (and that's GOOD cuz she has so much room to grow. and she will)

all of that being a billionaire

:coffee:

like... she's insanely famous

now she's being a respected actress

she had SMASH HITS in her music career

what she can't reach? it's insane. :jonny6: she truly always wins when we look at the full picture and don't pay attention to small details.

Spoiler

but talking about small details... selena hire a social media challenge! the last picture quality lmaoooo

Actresslena got her confidence back.

All the interviews she's has been doing, she looks so happy and proud of herself.

just like this one she goes toe to toe with Steve and Martin. This remained me of her old interviews.

The Oscar campaign has been great so far, hopefully continues that way.

Came to say the same, she's glowing and seems genuinely in a great place. Love that for her, her energy has been a 10 all press tour
