I was literally the one who posted it here that she was in the studio with them so I know. She has barely posted or liked anything on ig in the past week. Usually she likes Cardi's posts or someone so we know she's alive but nothing that I can see in the past week. IShe could be fine but I would still prefer her to pop up because I actually care about her well being as a person. I'm not just thirsty for music.

I actually agree with this. I love WS so much to this day but honestly the leaks I’ve heard and Fair are nothing in comparison and we still have no album

As much as I enjoy Wild Side, the lyrics are just a bunch of euphemisms about sex.

 

Waiting 4 U> Wild Side> Fair   in my opinion. There's just something about Waiting 4 U that gives me that good song vibe like a Selena Gomez or Halsey song.

 

I like that mellow, more vulnerable side from her.

The quality of the Wild Side video makes Wild Side the song better just like Motivation the video is greater than the song.

Lizzo is showing us that even if you get a smash hit you’re not guaranteed for the album to sell well. So with that said I still feel Normani will be an album artist because she has quality taste and wouldn’t release a bad song. That’s why I laugh at the people who say they’ve given up on her when y’all know she’s going to deliver a really good album and will be worth the wait ala SZA just be more Patient because we don’t know the bts mess

i think Normani will win in the end due to her casual stans. 

Motivation and Wild Side were both MOMENTS. i don't think it matters that she takes forever between releases.

if she has one moderately sized hit a year, that's better than most.

Now.. to the topic above… Wild Side is unarguably one of best the productions I ever heard. The beat is just insane. The lyrics and her vocals flow beautifully into it. And the outro? Whew just seals the package, give me tracks similar to WS and i’m set - and i’m saying this a whole year later. It aged like wine.

yeah.. my sister really snapped and it's still my most played song this year.

 

my thing is this, i don't mind waiting but the multiple drops and disappears i can't take. either we go all in or don't drop nothing lol. 

 

now... i still want candy paint. i think what i heard was a demo bc that snippet at the party was JUMPIN. but at the same time, all the teasing to only still not release it is weird to me. people want to hear her music and i wish her team would see that esp a song like "candy paint".

Something that bothers me is how Twitter Nation is all about jumping people who criticize Normani, but they can't even make hashtags trend  like come on, RCA probably thinks that not even her twitter stans exist because of this. The only thing I ever see is 'Normani' trending and that sure is not mainly because of them

I brought this up in the original big Nation community before it got shut down and the big accounts attacked me and said “we don’t need to trend anything, who cares!”.

 

Her twitter fans are very rude and 100% are the reason Normani has become the biggest punchline on twitter. Almost every week now, there’s a viral Normani drag tweet. She’s definitely on Twitter’s bad side (not to mention tiktok doesn’t like her anymore). 
 

This is one thing that I briefly mentioned before but I think Normani needs to go back from the ground up, open for another tour, and really build her fanbase from the bottom again.

 

There’s almost no solo Normani fan accounts on twitter anymore. They’re all bigger fans of Beyonce, ChloexHalle, Ariana, a KPOP group, Megan Thee Stallion, and Cardi B. Almost none of her big fan accounts solely support her anymore which is crazy because if you check other fanbases, they have big accounts that only post the one fave. Normani is in a really bad place with her core & casual fans and that could effect initial song performance assuming the label doesn’t clear a big promo budget (something less than Wild Side but better than Fair).

And it's a shame 'cause this is a 100% her fault. We get literally no content for months then she drops something, promotes it for a week and disappears again. We have no idea what is going on with her, no instagram live, no engagement, no nothing.

Being 100% honest, I doubt she'd ever do it again. I don't think Normani actually wants that - or the hard work of a succesful career. Like we've said before, she been through it with Fifth Harmony and lord knows how much they suffered. Now that she has nothing, I honestly don't think she'll try fixing whatever happened. I don't expect an album anymore. Just random droplets here and there. And please, don't read this as me calling her lazy, hell even ME a random ass person wish I could stop working. I wish she'd communicate whatever is going on, but we're better off this way I guess.

Look if Normani can give me 2 droplets a year, one sickening solo song and one collab with a semi famous artist (both songs here being singles with pushes), I’m fine.

Just give me 2 songs and 2 good videos a year with radio adds and I’m fine. I can settle for the bare minimum here if that’s where things are heading until she gets freed from RCA and goes independent.

I mean from a personal standpoint, I've accepted we're likely not getting an album ever since she dropped Fair and then disappeared again, but if that really is where we're headed, I feel like she should... say something to that effect?  Like obviously I don't think she'd ever explicitly state that her fans shouldn't expect an album. But an interview where she says something along the lines of "my goal is to explore a lot of industries and showcase all of my talents, music is a part of that but I'm focusing on other things too" would probably help manage expectations from the subset of her fanbase that still believes an album announcement is coming any day/week. 

 

I think a lot of the resentment that developed within her fanbase isn't really about the fact that there's still no album. I think it's more that she keeps telling us an album is coming, and then it doesn't. She should probably just make it clearer that fans shouldn't expect it anytime soon

The only problem here is, Normani isn’t doing that. Like she’s still doing music as her primary. She still goes to the studio and from what I heard, she’s cutting demos still that probably will end up sold. 

 

So I think we’re more on the, Normani is eating good off her old music sales, but is stuck in label hell. This is also why people have separate management for film/tv and music. If Normani had another set of management, she would probably be on our tv screens in some form by now with all these delays. Instead she just chills with family and friends, then hits the studio.

Yeah I know that hypothetical explanation wouldn't be true, my point was just that she needs to find a way to tell people they shouldn't expect an album without explicitly telling them not to expect an album  We're never going to get a "I want to release but my label refuses to do it" confession from her because we would have already gotten that by now if she was willing to do it. But I think there's other ways she can reset people's expectations so that they don't go into a frenzy every time she releases a single and then doesn't follow it up with album news. I know Rihanna's a bad comparator because of how much success Rihanna had beforehand, but Rihanna's current approach of basically being like "the music will come when I feel like it, stop asking every day" is the type of thing I'm thinking of. Her fans used to jump on her for not releasing R9, but now I feel like they've accepted she's mostly a general celebrity and business mogul for now and maybe music will come at some point.
