Plus everything she does goes viral. A couple more performances and she's off to the races. The thing that's been lacking in her career lately the most has been live performances. We barely get any of those.

I do agree there’s a chance for Normani but they would have to book her consistently and we know that’s not going to happen. Normani and her team better just get used to flopping and keep pushing albums until a hit comes along. Most artists aren’t smashing out the gate on their debut anymore so it’s fine.

I just realized the Nation twitter community has been deleted :deadbanana4: everyone is spent because that place was a damn mess day and day out too. Her best chance is whenever she comes back, you get yourself out there you perform, promote  and release more than one song. Act like you care. She cannot happen with this ridiculous model she’s been doing of leaving for months on end and returning with one good song/video but doing nothing to support it and no follow ups.

See the problem for me is it's hard to be over the commercial aspect of her career when her team clearly still cares so much about it that they're too scared to release anything :rip: I'd be able to let go of the dream of her being the strong mainstream powerhouse that we all thought she had the potential to become, if that meant her team was like "screw it, she's not going to smash, let's just drop the music and let her carve out a niche for herself." But right now an album exists that by all accounts has basically been 100% ready to be released for months, but isn't being released presumably because RCA is scared of it flopping :toofunny2:

A truly hellish loop. If she doesn't release, she can't be commercially successful, but without the commercial success, she won't release. Serving "how are you supposed to get job experience if every job application requires experience" :deadbanana2:

Are we sure it’s RCA that’s the main issue? Obviously their track record speaks for itself, but I feel like her manager being kind of novice isn’t really spoken about.

Getting releases greenlit is one thing but it means nothing if they don’t have the capability or desire to push promo wise.

This can't be real? No way would they be that ridiculous to remove her from a Calvin Harris album to stop her competing with herself, when she just had a collaboration with her friend 2 weeks ago, that would truly make no sense. WTF is going on behind the scenes, lord it must be an absolute mess for her having to deal with this ****.

It's all pointless because Calvin has lost his touch and their song is probably going to bomb just like his song with Dua and all his recent singles. And they're totally different audiences too. Just release the damn song with the video, announce the album, and a theatre tour.

Well we've had multiple insiders confirm that the album is effectively finished and a ton of people at the label have heard it. Brandon's a mess, but I don't think he would have the power or the desire to block the release if RCA wanted to go ahead with it.

I think RCA got spooked because Normani pushed hard for Fair, and it completely killed all of her Wild Side momentum. Now they probably feel like they need a hit again before they put out the album, which is probably why they keep shuffling Candy Paint's release around and want to make sure the video is ready to go.

A chance for what...? Beyonce/Rihanna level superstardom crossover? That ship sailed the second "Motivation" failed to break out.

What she can do now is a Kehlani type career,  a bit more low key but releasing constantly, touring, working, earning money. If they don't release an album this year that ship will sail too and it's back to red carpet hosting like her ex bandmates not named Camila.

Spoiler

******* and ***** didn’t come with anything amazing. Candy Paint still holds the crown for me.

Normani and her people gotta drop QUICKLY, there is a gap within the spectrum of sounds in the music scene now that everyone is trying new sounds and left the Urban-Pop lane WIDE OPEN.

Normani gotta capitalize on this Summer, this is her chance. If Wild Side can go 2x Plat with really just a VMAs performance and standard rollout, Candy Paint can do just as much.

Nah it’s on like all the troll pages already. No particular stan leaked it. They’re just spreading what’s already out there.

See…the narrative SHIFTING in our favor. It’s really Normani season if her team doesn’t play dumb and hold back Candy Paint into Fall. Just drop the bomb with a hot video, same radio rollout as Wild Side, and book the VMAs. The rest will fall into place :celestial3:

I love how ? keeps tabs on Normani. The way she sings Motivation in her new song is giving Ms Kordei Energy and now she’s collabing with Cardi too :coffee2:

I actually like Break My Soul but yeah I don't think it'll affect Candy Paint in any way. Based on what we've heard of CP, the two songs are radically different. And I was never worried about Beyonce "competing" with CP anyways, why do we always act like only one single is ever successful at any given time :toofunny2:

You were better off making Kelly Rowland comparisons instead of this cause wtf lol :ahh:

Bey’s song is completely different than CP, I don’t believe that was the reason the song got pushed back either. I know Normani is a bit arrogant, but I don’t think she’s THAT a delusional to think Bey is competing with her.
