I think to add on, Normani just needs consistency to cement herself bc the fans are there. Lauren is doing fine and her tour when I went was sold out and her fans were hardcore and she gets decent streams. I still hear Ally's music all over malls, radios, and cafe's so shes collecting some coil. Dinah is the only one for me where I haven't heard a song on radio/public yet. I do love her duet with Ally though, heard the cover at H&M recently.

Camila last single was Bam Bam and it now sits at over 800 million on Spotify and schedule to hit a billion next year. And it was nominated for a Grammy. Her monthly Spotify numbers compared to the other 4 are not even close. And mind you one of her biggest songs on Spotify in 2023 was from her second album Shameless. 
 

All these conspiracy theories about 5h contracts are false and just excuses why the other girls aren’t performing well. Ally has been dropped but multiple labels after recording albums she herself said were done. Dinah was at LAReids label and was dropped when her singles didn’t take off. Lauren was signed to Columbia and her singles didn’t do well and they parted ways. Normani was with keep cool and then now at rca. There’s nothing holding these girls back from releasing albums other than labels not wanting to invest in albums after singles don’t do well ….that’s it. There is no grand scheme it’s all about money.

I’m sorry but when did I say that she didn’t sale at all. What I said is that she needs a gimmick. Her music is hit or miss. She had hella singles on her second and third album where most of them flopped. Her saving grace for her second album was Senorita which was tacked on the last minute to help with sales. Her third album did worse but her breakup with Shawn came at the right time and boosted the sales for Bam Bam. Let’s not forget the “nipslip” controversy that came from left field when she was promoting her album. Let’s face it she’s needs controversy and publicity to sell her music. If she was as popular as you said she would be streaming and charting consistently. 

 

I also agree with your point about them dropping the other girls but I don’t think That necessarily is the only reason. From what the girls have said their labels wanted them to do strictly pop and they’ve gotten a lot of push back. This is the issue right here …anticipation?? …this is why Normani and her label keep fumbling. They are playing into the hype of twitter and social media that means absolutely NOTHING. 1. Umm, she most definitely had more than 2 singles I mean she had DGY, BB, Psychofreak, and Hastos Los Dientes. Which all but BB didn’t do good. I think her album barely even reached top 10. Also, going back to the Grammy noms. From what I’ve heard she barely got through because they deemed Save Your Tears Remix ineligible. 

2. I’m sorry but I’m not making fun and trying make light someone unknowingly exposing themselves. However, I will say this. When she was doing press for this last album I never saw any clips or interest in any of the interviews. Not until this “nipslip” which happened a little bit after Bam Bam released. I just think for someone who didn’t like to be viewed as an object and acted all high and mighty as if the girls had a say in their image. To see her go from the sweet innocent girl to having a clear oversized blouse on with nothing underneath; is somewhat interesting.

I’m sorry but wasn’t that what Epic did with Camila’s last album. They literally cut her budget in half and pushed her to make the literal same music that she made her last 2 albums. In hopes that they can make a return on her from all that payola from the 2nd album that went down the drain. Which led to her sound showing no growth or maturity. I literally used to see you Camilla fans on twitter complaining how Epic was doing nothing to promote. Whilst she had radio deal for both DGY and BB. Also, she performed at hella talk shows and events. I never heard anything about the album or her until late this  year when she was spotted with Shawn. And before then the “nipslip”. Everybody from Ariana, Dua, and even Doja stand were talking about how she fell off. I think when she comes back she can enjoy some shine but for now she isn’t in the forefront of anyone’s minds.

I hate comparing cause these girls cause they are at different points in their careers but wild side is around  200 million on Spotify and bam bam is over 800 million and wild side was released before bam bam and was nominated for Grammy. 
But comparing Normani to other people is pointless and doesn’t help her. And I think that’s been the problem with fans and in part her old manger (who thought it was a competition) that’s made the focus on all the wrong things. Just do music that represents you and release it …people will connect or won’t but don’t let that stop you.

Yeah I don't understand how people can't see this. She was expecting to have a breakout smash era with Motivation/Wild Side and that's just not how it works anymore. A whole generation of new stars have debuted since she started teasing her first album... she should easily be 3-4 albums in by now. Regardless of any personal/professional problems that we do or don't know about, it's just unacceptable.
