I think that was basically the main point of the movie… that Arthur didn't truly have what it takes to be Joker, and was never meant to be the real Joker, but introduced the idea to society. The real Joker kills the fake Joker, and thus a villain is born. Arthur used the Joker persona as a coping mechanism, but by the time he himself realized it, it was too late because the movement was uncontrollable. It was smart tbh. And I really hate the hate the ending is getting because I think the narrative and storytelling is very strong in this sense. Spoiler He realised that tying Joker and Batman as siblings in the first film is a bad idea So, he needed to take the action.
Dumbledore Posted October 4 Posted October 4 The fact that this is getting panned makes me really excited. I usually love what people hate and hate what people love, so I hope this is no exception. We'll see.
Soup in Teapot Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Ok I just finished watching Joker, it's not bad, for me I think it's better than HOG, even better than ASIB. I love this movie. Don't fall for the narrative. The quality of everyone's performance is soooo good. You don't need very intense scripts to produce a good movie. But I understand the hate towards this movie, but I really like it. Everyone should just trust themselves and have their own opinion. 13
GraceRandolph Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Time for Gaga to reveal the title of LG7 or the lead single. 1
GipJo Posted October 4 Posted October 4 They way Warner didn't step in to change the story, even though it's an elseworld story I thought at least they cared. Gunn might make questionable choices for Superman as well. 2

I'm not sure why they decided to change that. Maybe they were worried fans of the first film would be disappointed, but it seems like they ended up disappointing everyone instead.

ineedboxinggloves Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I'm seeing it with 3 friends tmr night at 9:30 I saw ASIB in theaters in a packed theaters alone, I saw HoG with 2 friends and thought it was so boring and couldn't wait for it to be finished. Anyone who has seen all 3 feel like J:FaD was boring at all? I'm still going to watch but I don't want to fall asleep an hour into the film

Personally, I found the last part of House of Gucci (the part without Gaga) extremely boring. As for FaD, the first half showed promise, but the second half was unbearable for me, and I couldn't wait for it to end. So it really comes down to personal taste. I thought the first hour flowed well enough, but the rest was a tough watch.
SinnerCity Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I can't believe we waited years for this film to be released only to be caught up in this PR mess. LG7 come and save us 1
Bhabylon Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I dunno, I dont think the movie would've benefited from more Gaga. The material itself just wasn't good 2

GraceRandolph Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Why do the songs on the JFAD soundtrack sound better than the Harlequin versions?
