WildAmerican Posted August 30 Posted August 30 ARIA Singles Chart: #5. "Die With A Smile" (+5) *new peak* — It becomes Lady Gaga's 12th Top 5 entry on the chart. 8 1

In any case i hope its not a streaming tank cause that'll actively take away from DWAS rather then add momentum Lady Gaga's discography in particular is very sensitive when it comes to benefitting from a (smash) hit. Her whole discography was boosted when she released ASIB even though that body of work couldn't be more different that pretty much her discography. It was also slightly boosted when Bloody Mary went mega viral due to Wednesday. When Chromatica dropped, Shallow and others got boosted. Now DWAS, is doing the same effect again in her discography and given DWAS' current consistency, I think both that song, LG7 and her discography will all benefit from the exposure. Worst case scenario, DWAS will pull a flowers in the sense that it will independently retain very consistent daily streams even though LG7 (ESV in Flowers case) gets underwhelming streams 1 2

Pop audience is so disappointing tho Sabrina's 5 singles steals a lot from other songs on big pop radio stations. They spin her 5 singles every 15 mins. HAC and AC carrying this on the radio. 1 1
Devin Posted August 30 Posted August 30 gaga is in a state in her career where any music drop will benefit the rest of her discography. 3

MonsterNavy Posted August 30 Posted August 30 she's the most supportive artist out there ever the fact that all pop girls that came after her were all little monsters. she's just too powerful 12

ASIB was fantastic it transformed her streams. Chromatica didn't do much for her streams in Gaga she fell out the top 10 streamed females the following year. Basically releasing music doesn't always effect catalogue in the right way
Human Fly Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Joker movie and entire awards season will boost her discography as well. Queen of Q4
Canonical Ensembl Posted August 30 Posted August 30 (edited) Pop / +238 / +0.228 HAC / +77 / +0.496 AC / +56 / +0.177 It fell out of Rhythmic top 50 , but because Tinashe and Latto new songs overtook it. It will probably re-enter in a few days. Edited August 30 by Canonical Ensembl 1
opbranden Posted August 30 Posted August 30 We need to understand that the entertainment industry was very different back then. Nowadays, supporting other artists is seen as a positive thing, but older generations will remember how the media was constantly trying to create rivalries between artists and trying to create "divas" more than pop stars. Katy Vs Gaga was the last big one. This doesn't mean I approve of how badly Gaga was treated, but it's important to remember that "you exist in the context of all in which you live and what came before you" 3 1

Basically releasing music doesn't always effect catalogue in the right way She's back to having 5 songs getting 1m streams. Pre-DWAS her highest streaming song was hovering around 800k and she had less than 10m daily streams. Edit: Also TTH didn't really help DWAS gain more streams because the song was already getting 10m+ streams or close to it. And I don't really expect that playlist to boost her discography when the main function of that playlist is to promote singles. Edited August 30 by FailSafe 2
