If LG7 is slated to be released this year, I can see it pull 8m+ for the rest of the year DWAS will serve longevity. This will likely do 5m streams until winter. It could get a second wind if they perform this at the Grammys and wins ROTY and SOTY.

I can already see couples incorporate joker and Harley's make up and match them with DWAS outfits for the Halloween.

opbranden Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Ok, so today is the last day she could open preorders for LG7 to capitalize on the massive coverage she'll receive next week and the success of DWAS, with the release then likely coming in a month or two-ish. She will be leaving the US for Venice in the next couple of days, as she will definitely be there by September 3rd. Honestly, I don't expect her to talk about LG7 or music in general while attending the premiere of FaD. The VFF ends on the 7th, so our last chance for an October release would be if an announcement is made in the second week of September to have a similar pre-order window to Billie's (around 30 days). For example, September 13th / October 18th or something like that. What do you think? 2

GipJo Posted August 30 Posted August 30 DWAS now ties with ROM with 6 days on top of Spotify charts, hope it can break the tie tomorrow.
Hair Posted August 30 Posted August 30 So by my calculations the song needs to do an average of 7.2M every day to reach 1B by the last day of 2024, achievable if it serves longevity
Nico Robin Posted August 30 Posted August 30 That Taste song is not even that special, I'm going to commit a crime when it overtakes DWAS 1 5
babyforlife Posted August 30 Posted August 30 so no big release today, perfect time for interflop to maximize the song's potential...
Konril Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Somebody post the radio update. Did it gain in Rhythmic plays?

Spicy Pisces Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Whoever planned to release Taste as the third single on album release day, and placing it first on the tracklist (knowing that song usually gets the most streams) deserved a raise. A smart move in the streaming era, I hope Interscholar gives it a thought or two. 3

MonsterNavy Posted August 30 Posted August 30 but in all seriousness sabrina is bound to surpass fad (i'm actually surprised she hasnt yet tbh) its 100% gonna happen. taste has autoplay and payola + the video is viral we just need fad to stay in the top 3 and 8m range daily until joker

At this point she can easily get away with 2-3 weeks of preorders. Why? Most of the people who preorder the album without listening are big fans, and most of preorders happen within the first 2 weeks anyway. Her tiktok makes me wonder are we even gonna get the lead single before the album? It wouldnt be a bad strategy if they use DWAS to generate hype and buzz for LG7. Then drop the lead with album release like Billies Lunch, Taylors Anti Hero, Forthight etc. For this era, its kinda obvious we cant rely on previous patterns so anything could happen in my opinion 2

In any case i hope its not a streaming tank cause that'll actively take away from DWAS rather then add momentum
