These stans have done too much on her acclaimed, quality discography. She really got the last laugh. I guess poptimism is officially dead now?

I suppose poptimism is still alive and kicking but it's clearly starting to die with the girls generally going from the 80s down to the 70s minus exceptions like Billie and Bey. Not that poptimism matters. Godga is immune to its effects.

Without poptimism (or the fear of cult fanbases - maybe they're related?) that Taylor abhorrent project wouldn't have gotten such a high score. Neither would Dua's. They are both definitely much worse than anything Gaga has ever put out but their scores are heavily inflated. Ariana's album is nice - but 85? Even Beyoncé and Billie being in the low 90's is an exageration and I thought those projects were great. Poptimism is still alive and well imo. 2

SweetOreosOfHeaven Posted May 21 Posted May 21 @Aden Unfortunately with or without poptimism we will always have OGH Slant magazine dragging Gaga's scores down for no good reason. She could release the next Thriller and they'd still give her a 60 at most. 2

Slant has also been unreasonable with her acting gigs as well smh A Star is Born - 3/4 stars House of Gucci - 2.5/4 stars They better be careful with JFAD. Are we surprised this clownery comes from the same publication that was launched the year 9/11 happened? 5
