The JLo getting her line pulled from Sephora thread made me look at where Haus Labs is on the site, and the foundation is the number one result when you sort by “Best Selling.” She’s probably printing money from that, no wonder why there’s been no rush for LG7 :gaycat6:

The rebrand and new products def were a success, it sells very well and reviews are quite very high on some products (foundation is described as one of the best in the current market, and same for concealer). So she def put a lot of focus and effort there to avoid a flop.

Not actual pundits falling for the fake test screening reactions

That is why I'm not against those fake rumors when it comes to the movie, they don't create delusion-disappointment with wrong release dates and they contributed to the hype-buzz for the movie positively.

You can tell she's put most of her energy into acting, makeup, jazz, and even film scoring but left crumbs for her own studio work.

With no foreseeable projects in the future other than JFAD promo and *maybe* LG7, maybe she'll have room to put together a good album.

Not sure how I feel about her posting studio pics. On one hand it's great she's showing us she's working on music but on the other hand it's getting tiresome. Is she teasing a release that's coming soon or are these just random studio pics with no definite release date in sight? UGH!

I always thought the main point of all her studio pics of the last months was proving that she was working intensively on a new album rather than teasing an imminent release, especially after last year backlash for the Nurtec commercial, she and her team know the fanbase is tired of ads and crave for new music, she needed to prove that she is working on a new album.

When the new era is gonna start and this project released, that is another story.

so boring and disappointing... we thought we would have the lead in February and we still have nothing. I really don't understand her teasing so much for nothing? And now it's back to silence... Like, it's been 4 years since Chromatica. Love for Sale and Hold My Hand were both ready for 2020. I can't believe she still doesn't have an album ready to go?? Especially since COVID happened. Like she had plenty of time to work on music...

Yeah, she's absolutely deprioritized being a commercial recording artist, which is weird given it was the very thing that got her fame and success.

She's still a musician because she's obviously about to star in a music-centered film and has jazz shows booked, but it's sad how she seems to have no interest in recording material anymore. And she has plenty of material in her vault to release several albums. I know she does because she's a creative machine. What drives me crazy is her hesitation with RELEASING any of it. Artpop's reception must have scarred her but it's been 10+ years. She really should be more concerned about losing her core audience than whether her material flops or not.

I would feel so much peace if she literally took to Instagram and said "I'm done being a commercial popstar". I would not fault her. It would free many of us from any expectations (not that there are many expectations from her left, lbr.)

Wait I'm kinda gagged :deadbanana: can you pay to get your brand as best selling?

I really feel like she only wants to release it when she's happy with it. If she changes her mind, even slightly, before that, then it goes back in the vault or until she feels like it's worth it. At this point in her career, she seems to me to be more focused on her "legacy" and what it means to her and only her, rather than regularly providing content and new music for the sake of it.

I don't think she's less inspired or writing or producing less, but in some ways she might be in the polar opposite of Taylor's release productivity.

And maybe it has something to do with label relationships. Gaga reached the highest possible peak as a debut and was twisted and shouted at by her own management. Taylor, in a different way, faced a similar treatment to some degree, but she found new purpose with the loss opportunity of her masters and you can tell, the decision and success of the TVs have empowered her enough to do exactly what she wants and the way she wants (at least for now because the success is there).

I am not so sure that Gaga has that freedom with Interscope, and I am not sure that she wants it (or has the energy to get it because of her other artistic and business ventures).

Doubt it. Her products usually get good placement in the stores too, so it must be selling decently.

For how much the wait for new music sucks, especially when it's been years, I'm not feeling negative about her creative process and when it comes to this project specifically, especially if those rumored new music producers will be confirmed, since they're interesting names that she never worked with before, I don't mind if she takes her time to release something really valid that took time for it.

If she comes out with something outstanding (musically and visually) it'll be worth the wait. If not her fanbase will take a huge hit since a lot of people are already on their way out.

She hasn't posted in almost a week... announcement tomorrow? Or did she simply notice that there were starting to be negative reactions due to the teasing that was going nowhere?

I think Sephora might be using some sort of Ad-sense based technology on their website because I see ALL :deadbanana2: of HL products when going into make-up -> bestsellers and new -> bestsellers sections :deadbanana2:
