I don't see how an American remake would work

It's very Italian

It's kinda weird that she's randomly thrown out Bloodpop if the rumours are true.

She normally has her "main" producers linger for a few albums like RedOne all the way until Joanne and DJWS until ASIB. She also seemed to be close to Bloodpop, similar to how she was with DJWS during BTW/ARTPOP (before he become a loon).

Probably signals a departure from full pop/dance. The BP haters will be begging for him back when the new album drops. :ahh:

Every time I open this base there’s a Stupid Love debate. Everyone just needs to accept it is her worst single ever and wasted all the ASIB momentum and didn’t introduce the Chromatica era at all given the mood board was for house music.

Hope this clears it up.

Is it a mistranslation? Her buying the rights? That is strange.

But a comedy drama?? Queen of expanding her acting skills.

There was no "ASIB" momentum. You guys just make this narrative up. Nobody who loves ASIB was clamoring for new Gaga music. :jonny: Her overall stature in the industry was boosted which is what helped her. The only thing that will help or or helps any popstar, is good music that connects with people.

Perfect Illusion made me physically cringe when I first heard it, unlike Stupid Love.

Stupid Love > Perfect Illusion me thinks. :michael:

Stupid Love could be a good song if the weird baby noises were removed from the production and the chorus was completely replaced (with a real chorus).  The verses and pre chorus actually sound great

Stupid Love is pop perfection and you guys will accept it in 10 years, when gaga only releases jazz covers :ducky:

And if I said that the best version of Stupid Love is the Riverdale Cast version...

Your guessing game is weak, way too false to be right

Perfect Illusion's production is godly, but the vocals and chorus were a letdown.

Stupid Love's pre-chorus is godly, but the production and lack of a chorus were a letdown.

Maybe she'll learn and give us a lead with a PI-level instrumental, SL-level pre-chorus, and the type of lyrically and melodically strong chorus that she's absolutely nailed so many times :WAP:

Spoiler

Or she'll give us a lead with noisy production and no good pre-chorus or chorus that's Dope vocal'd to high hell. And to add insult to injury, there will be at least three other songs on the album that would've smashed as the lead had she picked them instead :suburban:

“All I ever wanted was love” is a highlight of the album tbf

The rest of the song…is not!

Also based on the (Bad Romance) -> Perfect Illusion -> Stupid Love nomenclature pattern, I can't wait for Idiotic Affection to be released next month :gaygacat1:

Reckless Devotion is coming :WAP:

Wait this would actually EAT :WAP: especially since the only results for Reckless Devotion I saw when I looked the phrase up was a book written by some white savior missionary lady, so Gar please release this dark electro-rock bop we're begging you :loki:

this made me think that Applause is the lead with the best theme, followed by BTW of course.

I remember the line "I overheard your theory nostalgia's for geeks, I guess sir if you say so some of us just like to read" and the lyrical content in general being deemed as pretentious back then but critics would praise it to the heavens for its campiness if it were released now hihi :ducky:

The way she sent a song about wanting to be applauded to #4 with over 5 million units in the US is iconic TBH. And that song is an example of a godly chorus, pre-chorus, bridge, and production overall.

Applause is her best lead single. Somehow it's still sounds fresh despite being early 2010s EDM.

Not to be overdramatic but I will never forget the feeling of disappointment I had after hearing Perfect Illusion the first time. She had never disappointed me until then (except for when she canceled things she promised, but anything she released was always top tier in my opinion), and the fact that PI was her supposed "comeback" single... it was awful.

I've seen the light since somewhat, and I do enjoy it every now and then. But what a fumble when she needed a win most after ARTPOP.

also the fact that Gaga, Ronson, AND Tame Impala - three literal music geniuses - united on it and that was what they came up with... a crime.

They CAME up with one of Gaga's BEST songs of all time, probably top 3
