LadyGagaChina Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Napoleon earned 3 nominations which ended House of Gucci
TheLastChord Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) Yeah, the actors branch are such little sh*ts because what do you mean you're nominating America for that dumb ass monologue and not the absolute heart of the film???? Edited January 23 by TheLastChord
Miracle Posted January 23 Posted January 23 The Oscar noms are great tbh. Some snubs but It could be waaaay worse
LIDDOATIN Posted January 23 Posted January 23 can some of y'all f-words rekindle APPLAUSE Tiktok moment this Awards Season? also, imagine an edit of photos being on edge (bridge, cliff, stairs, etc) while TEOG is playing.. i need it to go viral, its recurrent streams are just 1

These past two years have had other actresses (Stone and Mulligan this year, Blanchett and Yeoh last year). She also had that trifecta win. In the week between the BAFTA and Oscar noms, she was largely seen as win-competitive. Edited January 23 by Aston Martin 1
WildAmerican Posted January 23 Posted January 23 If GÀR wants to be in the BA conversation, her movie needs to be in Best Picture. Simple as that. Miss Todd, you're on WATCH 2

Margot was not going to be nominated for a role like this. The character was so underdeveloped. 1

Cruz & Stewart had the better campaign vehicle, see both Viola & Deadwyler last year (w whom i garner Danielle likely had better passion than Gár in HOG but still got short-ended)
Aden Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Gaga playing a villain role already dimmed any of my personal expectations for Best Actress next season, even if she's starring in a huge film. I just want the film to be good.
Mr. Stratus Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Them TANKING Margot. They truly are poison ddd WONT SEE ME CRY NO TEARS 6 minutes ago, hausofdave said: Cruz & Stewart had the better campaign vehicle, see both Viola & Deadwyler last year (w whom i garner Danielle likely had better passion than Gár in HOG but still got short-ended) During the campaign and come out a lot of people said Gucci would be lucky to Score any Oscar’s, that it was a globes film, Cruz support was not being accounted for, along with Gaga not winning anything just noms. There were bad signs and good, I think Kidman deserved the snub in 2022 based on film and performance
Leptine Posted January 23 Posted January 23 1 hour ago, Marry The Gods said: Oscars are a joke and have been for many years now. If she wins one? Great. If she doesn't? It's not the end of the world. It's just a golden statue. We don't need a golden statue to prove that she is a successful respected actress. The box office numbers are more than enough to prove she is a household name that's guaranteed to draw in numbers. Her talent/craft speak for itself. I hope ya'll don't go ripping Joker 2 apart if she doesn't get nominated or even an oscar like you guys did with HOG. I wouldn't say joke (sometimes their choises are very questionable, that's for sure), but I overall agree with your argument, it won't be the Oscar nomination to legitimate Gaga's work in JFAD, like it wasn't for HOG, it will be a plus if it happens, but an overall good reception of the performance-movie + box office are the goals. This time, if she happens to be nominated at various precursors, I won't count the nomination until it will be pronounced, no matter what
Velvet Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Following the BA race is always fun, so I don't mind the outcome It guarantees a bunch of appearances, red carpets, and fun interviews 1 2
Miracle Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I just know Gaga probably had a good time today with Maestro kinda overperforming and Margot Robbie snubbed lol 3

I just want the film to be good. wouldn’t categorize Harley as the same as Gucci or Theron’s performance of Wuornos. she’s more like chaotic netural - leaning more to the villain side, but with some kind of muted sense of decency that occasionally shines through. at the end of the day, it all boils down to which direction Todd leans more towards Edited January 23 by hausofdave 1
Jose Alberto Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Forget the Oscar nominations and get ready for the LG7 announcement in 59 minutes...
Famekillers Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Who will get their Oscar first?? Bradley or Dianne😭😭 2
franminervini Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) So... back in GGD there's a thread about LG7 title/theme. And a member mentioned this vibe as their wish for the album. Something somber, eerie, cosmic, related to celestial bodies. I think that would be quite cool? Going back to TCB interludes, they are really different from the aesthetics of the era. I wish she would dig more into them. What do you think? (Sorry if you need a Nurtec after mentioning TCB again😂) Edited January 23 by franminervini

I think the reason Chromatica Ball's visuals were so different from the era is that by the time the tour actually had a chance to start after delays, Gaga was likely already in a different artistic state of mind. And she's likely already shifted again for LG7. Somber and eerie visuals would be cool, though. As a astrology enthusiast, I'd love for her to do more with celestial bodies beyond Venus. 6
Bhabylon Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Everyone is gonna be so gagged when Gaga serves a Black Swan tea in Joker II, the academy will have no choice but to nominate her 1
