I mean there is always so much pain in her Chromatica lyrics and if you see she is full of ballads. You don't want any bangers from her?
opbranden Posted October 7 Posted October 7 17 minutes ago, NextBish90 said: LIstening to Gaga's discography since 2016 she has so many ballads. Almost everything is ballads, even in Chromatica some of the lyrics are so disturbing like ballads masked in a faster instrumental. I wish she could give us some more bangers finally!! Excuse me, what? That being said, It's weird to me that people still try to criticize the so-called "oontz oontz gays," when Gaga's entire mission was to elevate pop music and ensure it was never considered lowbrow. Also, 143 isn't oontz oontz. It's just flaming hot $hịt 3 1

Badgalbriel Posted October 7 Posted October 7 It's either a ballad or it's not. There's no such thing as "ballad lyrics in an uptempo song". Then, it's not a ballad! 1

We're talking about a 22 year old Lady Gaga during her debut years. She had a narrative for each era, different fears, reverse Warholian experience, dead aunt, dancing the pain away etc. She's evolved for the better. 2

You're actually proving my point—her pop music has never been lowbrow. She elevated the genre, constantly staying ahead of the curve and incorporating influences that later become mainstream trends. Dance, electronic, dark pop, '80s, EDM, country-ish, house—she's mastered them all. She's the real deal. Does she have other passions? Of course, jazz is one of them. But dismissing her pop music is shortsighted. It's possible to appreciate her HAC-adjacent projects without undermining her undeniable contributions to pop, which have shaped the genre for the better. Edited October 7 by opbranden 2
