I got to go backstage May 2014 with GGD to deliver a fan project. She spilled to us about C2C. As far as mods knowing anything goes Admin is most in the loop but never spills out of respect. Mods hear things too, but mostly in relation to helping her team minimize & prevent leaks. I remember seeing the Monster High doll prototype and The Fame perfume bottle / black fluid wayyy before release. We had gotten cease & desist letters from the manufacturers that required us to remove the information / images as they were posted in "rumors". Her team worked hard to keep these things from circulating and it worked for awhile. What I'm trying to say is no one *tells* them anything, but being behind the scenes you might catch a crumb or two.
