A photo or short clip in the studio would have sufficed. That 143 post was cute but I don't think that helped generate buzz for her new music. We know she's coming but it s really taking her so long.
playboi Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Do we think Smile would've performed better if she kept the 70s aesthetic instead of the circus mess? I also think she should've kept Charlie Puth as a producer for most of the songs, the album is a bit all over the place sonically (songs like Resilient and CAIL should NOT be on a same album ) 4

Mordecai Posted March 17 Posted March 17 We've only had two albums from her in the past decade. Like wtf get a move on It's days like this where I wish I stanned someone else like Taylor instead 1
Coldpurry Posted March 17 Posted March 17 So we are perched for a a release on the 22nd? If nothing comes 🤡

That shift in aesthetics is kinda similar to how Dua went from hypnotic-psychedelic theme to whatever theme the album has

I think that was the first song it debuted there.

I remember something about CTTR having the biggest Spotify debut for a song at the time, i didn’t really pay attention to the charts during Witness era. Maybe that’s why I survived the katycat mass extinction Edited March 17 by thismoment

As announced by Spotify on Saturday, the pop singer’s latest single broke a record for the music service with 3,062,293 streams after dropping early Friday morning. This sets a new bar for Spotify for being the highest first-day streaming for a single track by a female artist. 2

Lately, Twitter has been full of these prediction profiles and spies of mainstream artists, but I see that the majority adopt an enigmatic stance, releasing several random predictions or based on rumors that are already circulating on the internet (I mean, Katy had already announced that she would return this year and has a festival in September, within this gap it is a little easier to guess about her return) I remember a time when there were accounts here on ATRL that actually brought real spoilers about releases but I don't know if they are active here yet 1
PopLover1423 Posted March 18 Posted March 18 (edited) I never believed the March 22 rumors tbh, if she were to release it on March 22, why wouldn't she announce it on March 14th when she actually did have the perfect opportunity? I'd love to be proven wrong though. It's probably coming in late April/May with the American Idol finale performance. And guess that's a good thing, she can promote the song with talk shows and performances once AI is over. The AI performance itself will give her a small boost in the first week sales too. Moreover, if she releases it now, there's a 90% chance it's already dead before the AI finale so they wouldn't even let her perform it. And obviously, a May release also means that the Beyonce, Taylor and Ariana releases are out of the way. Edited March 18 by PopLover1423 4
