We only discuss the sound, but what about lyrical topics?

 

Of course there needs to be good love and breakup songs as well as songs about dancing. NO MORE SONGS ABOUT COKES, PIPIES, POTIONS AND PIES PLEASE. And I really would want for Dua to make a song about death. I want to cry my heart out, and it should be a closing album track. A song like George Michael's "You Have Been Loved" or Dido's "The Day Before the Day" for DL3 closing track instead of fillers like Good In Skip and Filler Will Be Filler.

I just want to note, you can make songs about serious topics but they can still end up sounding like a Katy Perry song, so you have to be careful. Thankfully Dua has an ear to avoid putting cheap, unfinished songs (unless when she's lazy so she puts Not My Problem, Good in Bed and Boys Will Be Boys on the album, but the good sis was EXHAUSTED by that point with creating 9 absolute bangers for standard edition)

She can go to either two routes, one is the Rihanna, Shakira and P!nk route. The other one is Katy Perry, Nelly Furtado and Tiffany route.
