There’s no point in pushing Summer Renaissance when the GP has already said no to it. The song collapsed on Spotify despite being on top of their biggest playlist.

Alien Superstar is getting all the streams and songs with amazing choruses tend to perform better on radio. You cant tell if the song will suddenly stop being viral.

Pop just barely opened its arms back up to Beyonce after 10 years...now is not the time to play games with weird songs. it's wiser to go with the easy songs especially if we can't guarantee a video or performance or any actual PUSH.

I’ll give you that based on the early spins post album drop, Summer Renaissance seems like what POP radio wants to play, but  is it what the people want to hear? 
 

I feel it would be easier to guarantee a hit based on streaming numbers. Even if you side step Alien Super Star, why not go with Cuff It. It’s undeniably catchy. Summer Renaissance is one of the lessor streamed songs, and the hook is okay I guess.

 

Whatever Beyoncé, can we just get the visual?

When you consider Lizzo’s record, it’s a no brainer there is an appetite for this sound and Cuff It does it better than Lizzie and Silk Sonic.

If ALIEN SUPERSTAR is going to be a viral Tik Tok smash then let it be. It’ll slay on its own (as it is doing right now). 
 

SUMMER RENAISSANCE is a song likely to perform like BREAK MY SOUL, It will need radio to chart higher. I don’t expect the song to be an instant smash but I do think it has smash hit potential, especially with radio on its side. And you know once she performs this beast of a song live… it’s over for the girls

Exactly my point, the hits are literally right there on the platter for Beyoncé. Early radio plays don’t mean anything because it has nothing to do with the audience.
 

SR isn’t even top 10 on apple and got lucky with TTH play listing and still didn’t outstream.

“Alien Superstar is a weird song.” The same could have been said about Break My Soul. The song has her catchiest chorus, thats why it’s slaying. If radio can play Doja Cat songs every 5min, they can certainly play Alien Superstar. 
Someone said yesterday that if Billie Eilish’s Bad Guy can dominate radio, Alien Superstar will too, and I agree with that comparison

Cuff It is radio candy but it’s also more funk than ADT which is disco inspired as well. Pop radio is also way more loyal to Bruno than Beyoncé. Honestly, As It Was & About Damn Time are the two biggest pop radio hits right now & Summer Renaissance fits right in between them. It’s actually a safe and secure choice as a song with Break My Soul still rising on pop & the #1 will push it higher. Cuff It has smash potential & they need to play it careful so BMS doesn’t step on it. 
 

SR is only sent to pop so I have a suspicion Cuff It is the song sent to rhythmic/urban (and eventually pop once BMS peaks)

I don't want to bring other artists in it but I honestly think of Dojas last album. They went with Need to Know as a "warm up single but it smashed over Your Right which got a bigger push. Both got pushed to radio but the winner is now clear. 

 

I think in this case, it's good to just have a song on pop radio. SR isn't bad. But it's not smash single material. More like 4th. But hopefully the GP will naturally latch on and start requesting.
