Matangi Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Since we're discussing the past again, because there's nothing else to do, I think it's interesting that some artist get better with time and others just don't. For example with my other fave Gaga her creative peak was mainly in the beginning of her career. But with Beyoncé it's the complete opposite, because she really gets beach each era and always tries to level up (and rarely fails to do it). I'm not talking about eras, but more about the music itself. Her best output just came out. Renaissance > Cowboy > Lemonade > ST > 4 > BDAY > ISAF > DIL She really gets better every album and it's really fun to experience that and I can't wait for the final act. 11

Nippy'sReceipts Posted January 16 Posted January 16 (edited) Blow isn't danceable enough in the first half. It's kinda dull and the the bass line is boring until Cherry comes in. If Blow was funkier and danceable in the first half with a bigger melody, I have no doubt it would've been a huge radio hit on R&B and pop radio. Keep me coming, keep me going, blow, oh, ohh has to me one of Pharrell's laziest hooks. He could've came more correct, especially given Happy came out that year. Edited January 16 by Nippy'sReceipts
