Some fan-fiction lands on some really good ideas. Like the visuals being released on Netflix as a mini -series. And now we gotta live in a reality where it won't happen (most likely- damn... I've thought about the miniseries thing for a while but I kinda leaned into it after Beyoncé Bowl debuted on Netflix and they added a "Beyoncé Collection" section that I don't recall seeing before. Homecoming always existed by itself but now suddenly they have that, Bowl, and Obsessed all packaged together… It's probably standard practice but I noticed it right away and got a little 1

Whatever the hell it is... she's coming. 1

Yeah, I would've loved for Beyoncé to keep the original tone of the song but the switch up was cute too. I feel if Beyoncé sung it the original way it DEF would've fit the depressing story of Cowboy Carter. Regardless though, it's actually good af and the choir at the end always gagggsss!!! Y'all need to reserve this hate for Bodyflop lmaooo!!! Easily one of Beyoncé's corniest songs. I just can't believe the same people that stan Bodyguard are the same ones dragging Jolene. Bodyguard is Fleetwood Mac inspired aka one of the greatest bands of all time. Just because of that it belongs to the top songs of CC 7
king_queen Posted yesterday at 02:04 PM Posted yesterday at 02:04 PM Dragging Bodyguard in defense of Jolene is crazy but how else would y'all want her to transition into Daughter? Jolene was literally the perfect song for that… 1 1
ScorpiosGroove Posted yesterday at 03:08 PM Posted yesterday at 03:08 PM some of you still thinking act III is anything other than an album… 3 5

alien superstore Posted yesterday at 03:30 PM Posted yesterday at 03:30 PM Cowboy Carter sounded corny as a title when it was first revealed too. And we also dragged the name Renaissance. Revolution could well be the title of Act III considering it's placement in the lyrics of My House, but then by that logic Act II should have been called Rodeo (a word dropped so many times in Act I and in Act II itself). I still stand by the fact that the neatest way of naming these albums would have been alliterative. Renaissance Rodeo Revolution It just makes sense - corny or not 3 1
sillycilla Posted yesterday at 03:43 PM Posted yesterday at 03:43 PM I'm. Ready for the album to be called Betty Black. Anytime she does alter egos it slays. 1 3

I mean she was obviously never gonna join Bey to sing Jolene bc although she's not explicitly said it, she doesn't seem that keen on Bey's version and it wouldn't have been worth it to show up just to do the very few words she has in Tyrant. And after her weird comments about the album not being nominated at the CMAs… yeah. I'm kinda glad. I think she expected Beyonce to do a Whitney lyric-for-lyric remake, and it didn't happen. While B was fighting the new "will the remake be as good?" crowd, she has also had to contend with the persistent "Beyonce doesn't write" crowd. It's a lose-lose. Best part: It's a top 10 single on both sides of the pond, made it to the top 10 of the Country Songs charts, debuted on Country Airplay, and survived long enough to appear on the year-end charts for Country. She has the best-performing version of "Jolene" by a country mile. In terms of big picture, wasn't Dolly Parton also recently awarded some sort of commemorative, non-competitive award at the CMAs? She didn't want to rock the boat, but inadvertently threw Beyonce under the bus instead. 1
PrettyHurts Posted yesterday at 04:01 PM Posted yesterday at 04:01 PM I wonder if the art book was pushed back because she originally planned to put out the visuals on the 13th of December before the performance
ShouldersSideways Posted yesterday at 05:26 PM Posted yesterday at 05:26 PM Maybe the album title will be three words this time 2

dnboy1 Posted yesterday at 05:55 PM Posted yesterday at 05:55 PM I think my only hesitation around believing it's about Act III is because of the football field + cowboy hat in the teaser. my gut still says it's a tour announcement + surprise Act III lead shortly after
