We just lived through the most consequential American election in our lifetimes thus far, and she was a part of it.  Kamala got like four grid posts out of Beyonce... that's more than any of her albums have in the last 8 years.

Well tbh Sir Davis and Cecred get more posts than her albums too.

 

From outside the US looking in, I feel like Obama's first campaign felt more important, more emblematic, more defining but it's probably just an outside perspective.

 

I hope she doesn't take too much with music, if the US' mood is down then good joyful music and entertainment are the ways to go to lift the spirits.

Spoiler tag since this isn't a political thread, but unfortunately Obama's election was one of the things that led us here.  Not his fault by any means, but it lulled many people into a sense of complacency and to a belief we were heading toward a more equal America, if not a post-racial one.  And it stoked a lot of the nationalism and hate among white Americans that led to Trump.  Now we're at risk of losing many of our fundemental rights.

OT:  I don't think she will change act iii's sound because of the election.  Whatever it was before is what it will be.

He only has four years and he can't do that just by saying it, there's a process to such things and the more he f*cks the country, the more riled up people will be towards the 2028. The worst part goes to his implication in international conflicts tho. Rights can be gained back, lives can't.

The only thing that may have changed the album is the The-Dream allegations. Other than that, it has to be done.

 

 

 

Thankfully we're getting the Grammy nominations tomorrow so we can complain about something else than Trump.
