Yeah, the industry itself seems to be on a 2 week to 1 month stay with albums now, oversaturation of the market even affects massive A-listers.

Beyoncé however, literally just does not promote her music, so after the general hype and interest of week 1 and the excitement for those who are fans in weeks 2-4, there is not much left to do when non fans are not checking Twitter/Insta/TikTok etc. They watch television, listen to radio, or are offline completely and will find out through commercials or hearing songs in movies, shows, live performance.

The streams are about the same as Ari so they're good, but I can't imagine this is a good indication of a successful act 3 when the fans in this very thread are saying they barely stream CC lol.

The biggest issue with the brand Bey is just that they are terrible at sustaining interest in a project. All her albums since ST suffered from it.

Lemonade was left dead on a dead streaming platform + no single push.

TG dead on Arrival.

Renaissance died and was lucky to have a Cuff It. I remember the streams of Rennie already being in the pits come September/October.

And then u have Fans and users who bring up Black Is King pushing TG back to #2 on its release. Hunny, thats not sustaining an era. If it went to 0, went up a week after again to 2, and died right after again, it just means that if Ms Beyonce invests in visibility and forms of promotion, she succeeds.

But since she isn't doing that -> eras die prematurely

The album didn't come and go.

I'm afraid chart obsession has rotted some brains.

Also this generation has a pathologically short attention span.

I don't know that it's that the attention span is so short (I mean, that's definitely true), but that there's paradox of choice now. People only have so much free time and they have the entire world at their fingertips. Most people are going to choose to watch a new show, movie, or do something else with their limited free time than stream a hour and twenty minute album

we have no idea what's to come with this era. the renaissance tour didn't begin until 9 months after the album came out

And funny enough, the streams for certain songs, even massively popular ones like Alien Superstar are still low in streams.

Could you guys imagine a Daughter's stripped down performance? Ugh, the chills.

It's already stripped down, one guitar, some minor synths and some background vocals here and there.

She can do it with just a guitar, a violin and herself. Definitely a moment on tour.

so… nothing until next year and then back to nothing ? what an ERA :clap3:

no but seriously, half the people in this thread barely listen to the album anymore, haven't seen it being mentioned on twitter in days, the streams are in the absolute pits 2 weeks after release and y'all wanna convince yourself it didn't come and go ?

this isn't renaissance, this album is clearly not surviving off of pure fan love and replay factor. a website full of stock pics and posters won't keep this afloat, idg how this isn't clear to everyone in here but so be it… sooner or later y'all will come around and start worrying about the exact same things some of us are worrying about right now, as usual :foxaylove3:

of course we are all allowed to have our own opinion the album, but i think a lot of people are comparing their listening experience with cc to renaissance and that doesn't make sense. they are completely different albums flow wise and that's okay. this album is a little confusing sequence wise, and it does have a songs that feel unnecessary, but the quality is there and often equals  or surpasses renaissance imo. It's a great album and I think a lot of people, even fans, are quickly labeling it as "low replay value" because it has more slower songs and is a longer album.

i don't think i can label it her "best album" simply because its not as concise as renaissance or lemonade, but it has some of her best work in vocals, lyrics, and production.

remember how many times "omg thank god ren had cuff it, imagine what'd have happened if it didn't" was thrown around in here ? cause we're about to find out this time:rip:

girl, and they can all kick rocks. i'm enjoying the album throughly. if people are jumping ship after 2 weeks then the album and era simply isn't for them. why force feed? let's wait and see what she has planned

What if the narrative is: COWBOY CARTER then act iii and then RENAISSANCE?

She says at the end of SUMMER RENAISSANCE "applause, a round of applause", so she might be finishing the three acts with that? Maybe there's something before she gets to the stage of joy?

Tbh now that I think about it Ariana also kind of left her album for dead. But she also did an album release blitz with performances/interviews.
I think that might be the new standard for most artists now

Its just with bey it's been nearly a decade of silence/lack of engagement until there's a tour. For some fans watching edits of "funny moments on "insert tour name" is enough I guess.

I love behind the scenes and adored when artists do it about their album.

It's actually what made me a DC and Bey fan. Especially Bey as a solo artists.

I would LOVE a behind the scenes look at the making of American Requiem

The lyrics, the composition and the instruments ( the sitar!!) are just fascinating to listen to.

I cared sooo much during RENAISSANCE but I've truly given up this time around. If she showed a sliver of effort outside of just releasing music, then maybe that would translate for me but nothing has this era. I mean, she did scam me and thousands of others who bought those v*nyls and let's be real the merch [clothing] isn't that great either. I'm not even excited for a possible tour announcement this year. She just needs to take her profits and quit baiting us!

I honestly think I'm more irritated with her now in hindsight when it comes to  the Renaissance era. Like all she did was drop the album and go on tour. With THAT album. And it looks like she's going to do the exact same thing with CC. She gets away with it bc she really is that good but listen…she deserves to flop…

Just think of how bad the sabotage will be for act iii :jonny2:

and there are still complaints :suburban:i'm sorry but some of y'all deserve to be banished back to the time when we thought the acts were scrapped

Right? I'm part of ChartHive and it's been the most laid-back I've been for a Beyoncé record post release in forever. Just pure enjoyment and in awe of the masterpiece we just got 2.5 weeks ago.

The most annoying part is knowing she has visuals ready for this that she could drop.. but she'll probably scrap them or drop them when nobody cares anymore. There's a lot of songs on this album that have great storytelling and sound straight out of a movie, so imagine how sickening the visuals could be.. and they would definitely help people connect with the songs more. A performance would be great too if she really doesn't want to drop the visuals

Funny to see people now being honest about their true thoughts on the album after I was attacked in the album thread during release for clocking those same things from the start.

I'm kinda the Bionic of Bey stans on ATRL. Ahead of my time…

girl i respect the optimism but this is exactly why people are jumping ship, she doesn't have anything planned :rip:

absolutely nothing's gonna happen, just like nothing happened during ren. hasn't this been very clear these past 2 years ? we'll get a tour in a year if we're lucky but that'll be it. nothing will happen other than a few quick cash grabs here and there and some product placements…
