That's what I love about Bey's albums since BEYONCÉ, the track listing has been set up so well for someone like me who typically listens to a variety of genres, decades, and singing styles and needs a variety or "playlist”-type tracklist in order to stay interested.

It's jarring. No matter what I put after it Yeah I'm mad because I don't f*ck with the interludes but I think I'm gonna have to add this one just so I can hear the end of this scream.

Redporus Posted April 3 Posted April 3 (edited) Thinking about her albums, they should be tiered as they are basically 3 levels of greatness in terms of quality. These are listed in order of strongest to weakest. Tier 1 - Greatness Normal/Formulaic: 1. 4 2. Bday 3. IASF 4. DIL 5. EIL Tier 2 - Artistic Experimental/Daring: 1. ST 2. TG Tier 3 - Upper Echelon Academic/Historic: 1. REN/CC tie 2. LEM Edited April 3 by Redporus 2
chaeyonce Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Yeah Miley and Bey on II Most Wanted sound so delish Beautiful couple 1
cloudbusting Posted April 3 Posted April 3 the only thing daring about EIL is that she dared to force us through it after Lemonade 4
Mitsouko Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Yeah the botched ending to Ya Ya gives away that it was a late/rushed addition. A shame because I'd like to listen to it without being forced to listen to the first three seconds of Oh Louisiana too

Rotunda Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Do y'all think Blackbird previously started/ended the album? It has the same "ding" noise at the end that Amen has

PrettyHurts Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Suffering through -EIL/OTR II -The Gift/BIK (Quality work, but questionable choices) -Bey Alive -Wack Parade (amazing live) -Rihmix era -birthday blog was so terrible. I hope she doesn't do nonsense like this after the acts end 4 1 1
Draper. Posted April 3 Posted April 3 What if Ya Ya was meant to be part of act iii and it has evolved into something else? 2

I think people don't appreciate how much stronger she's gotten at tracklists and sequencing an album. I remember the Bday and Sasha Fierce and even 4 albums all had a mess of two or sometimes up to three or four totally different track lists on the re-released/deluxe versions and different re-release versions. It was hard to keep up! Like I love the original track list of Bday and 4. I don't like the deluxe tracklist as a listening experience. It feels like tracks just thrown at random. ST was the first time where she kept the album as is and smartly did the deluxe tracks as a totally different CD rather than mix up the tracklist 2
