Bey is normally a perfectionist so I'm surprised this whole vinyl thing. The Beyince and Cowboy Carter thing. So they are sending the Beyince version to stores, the one with less songs? :deadbanana2: No one can buy the CC version with the new cover? Seems like that version is the real limited one. Disaster :bibliahh:

The music is always phenomenal but the rollout is never up to par.

I think it was probably recorded at least a year ago because we heard some of Spaghettii at RWT.

She's never beating the troll allegations.

Im not doing the Rennie VS CC ranking cuz I'm pressed.

not but for real, one cannot compare these 2 projects. 1 was made to be a « banger on banger / no skip album ». The other one was made as a whole « trip / experience » to live through.

i'm more of a banger person so obvs Rennie would win but the quality of CC as a project is everything to me. A CC VS Lemonade would make more sense to me, they are more comparable I'd say.

Her changing "creative direction" aesthetic and name wise last minute (which was the right thing to do) is probably the reason.

It's lovely how she approaches album curation nowadays, but can we get that with a R&B/Soul record tho? :gaycat6: If she did an 80 minute album with the influences behind 4 and B'Day and her current creative approach that would absolutely be her best album. Think Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, think Songs In the Key of Life.  I hope she's already thinking about going in that direction for B10.

I wonder what happened behind the scenes, so what made her change her mind about the cover and the title of the album.

There's no booklet available either, nor any hint of the credits in the physical format which IS very odd to say the least.

Maybe the album was supposed to come out a few months later, but something happened and the drop had to be rushed.

My previous still stands but THE REACH !?

Babe is you DEAF ? You must talk about another song because COZY is COZY !? C.O.Z.Y sis please I don't want to hear nothing today I will not TOLERATE that.

Maybe a booklet + credits will be for the « regular edition » so that we buy it as well ?

It's genuinely a great song. Don't let the contrarians convince you otherwise.

OT: I can finally say that I like virtually every song minus Levi's Jeans. It's easily the worst song of the album, that guy makes me puke. Sorry not sorry.

Yes, hence it's getting released in two weeks. Hopefully the standard edition turns out to be complete  :giraffe:

It's too early for me to compared both Acts. For now I can say that Cowboy Carter as an entire album is better but I like the Renassaince songs individually better

Both Alligator Tears and Just For Fun are exquisite. It needs time maybe, but when it hits it hits!

Protector gives me I Miss You vibes. It's definitely one of the most touching songs in her discography.

I didn't get Alligator tears at fist but now I'm obsessed.

Just for fun is one of her best ever duet.
