Y'all don't deserve her the timelessness and universality of the songs on this album is just incredible the way she's performed the majority of the songs live and many of them became staples in her live shows also says a lot 3 1
Burn Posted March 22 Posted March 22 4 is the better album. B'Day had the better singles. Both amazing albums though.
swissman Posted March 22 Posted March 22 4 just has more 7/10 songs than B'Day, of which none are that low. And can I say as someone whose fave track was End of Time in 2011, nowadays, it really doesn't do it for me. Maybe because she has reached her full powers doing that kind of song with The Gift, but something about it doesn't hit as hard anymore.
Lose My Breath Posted March 22 Posted March 22 I love B'day, it got me through some things, and some of my best memories are with that album Same with 4, and Lemonade... I guess Rennie, too Crazy how her music coincides with big life changes and times for me. 1 3

End Of Time was one of her most experimental pop tracks she had done up until that point. It deserved single treatment, and to smash. 2

Burn Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Remember night 1 of RWT when everyone was bemused why she was opening with a ballad section… yeah, that ended up being one of the best things she's ever done and has given us some of her best performances. 1 2
Burn Posted March 22 Posted March 22 (edited) Will we get the ATRL banner next week It would be cute if they use this pic Edited March 22 by Burn 1
TizTiz Posted March 22 Posted March 22 (edited) I think I've made it pretty clear that I'm a ***** for "4". That album and "BEYONCÉ" are very close to my heart because of the nostalgic memories of high school 2010-14. I've always considered "4" to be her debut album and the three before 'experimental mixtapes'. She didn't find her niche between being herself and still catering to legacy building until then. The closes before then is "I AM. . .Sasha Fierce", and even then' it's too whitewashed. "Dangerously In Love" is ghetto as hell. "B'Day" has aged like fruit cake. It only works live now, that's why its grown live over the years better than on the album. Me, personally, I only go back to that album for "Deja Vu", "Green Light" and "Suga Mama". Every variation of each song live completely, effortlessly kills the album. SIDENOTE: There is not a song I can hear Beyoncé and Fantasia doing together in the studio, but I am always petitioning for Fanny to cover "Suga Mama"❗️Could've easily fit on "Side Effects of You"! All of her work since 2010, including the "I A. . . World Tour", tours and festivals dates, have been gradually advancing and has been exciting to watch. For me: Albums RENAISSANCE BEYONCÉ LEMONADE 4 And when I'm really feeling nostalgic I Am. . .Sasha Fierce Tours: The Mrs. Carter Show RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR FORMATION WORLD TOUR I Am. . .World Tour Edited March 22 by TizTiz
Chris Posted March 22 Posted March 22 The faguettes in here arguing over B'Day and 4 earlier. Can March 29 arrive already? 3
Chris Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Not you gays still discussing 4/B'Day. I definitely prefer B'Day but I still love 4 as an album though. I just LOVE Deja Vu, Green Light, Kitty Kat, Irreplaceable, and Freakum Dress so much.
Chris Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Let me cause some mess. What would you say is Beyonce's most overrated song? I have some that will make some of you hate me even more than you do now.

I've honestly never needed "Dangerously In Love" or "Flaws & All" until seeing the tour and film. I think I said this in my film review, but there's something about the arrangements there that made them useful for me. Now, when I watch the film, there are plenty of parts I skip, religiously, but I'll be damn if I skip the opening act.

I'm drinking right now, I'm not thinking about Yoncé🤣🤣🤣❗️ 1
