Burn Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I think maybe she's holding off releasing RTW live album so she can release all 3 tour live albums together with the box set of the 3 acts. Most people won't want to buy the 3 vinyls packaged together if they've already purchased them separately so having the live albums will be its main selling point. 1
QueenBLadyG Posted March 21 Posted March 21 (edited) My predictions/hopes: Samples or interpolations: Charlie Pride Linda Martell Odetta Dolly Ruby Falls DeFord Bailey Stoney Edwards collabs: Bruno Mickey Guyton Taylor (co-write or playing guitar) The Chicks John Mayer (guitar) Rhiannon Giddens (more than just THE) Edited March 21 by QueenBLadyG 1
Devin Posted March 21 Posted March 21 cant wait to hear fleahive controversial take on who Bey should collab with this time. 5
Triton Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Gary Clark Jr? She did the Stevie Wonder tribute with him.... 7
Redporus Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Why are so many members in this thread? Is she gonna post sumn today?
cloudbusting Posted March 21 Posted March 21 more folk than country, but im manifesting a Kara Jackson appearance somewhere either as a writer or backing vocals one of last year's best albums btw 1
chaeyonce Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I generally don't like collabs so I'm not moved by the idea of them 2
kimberly Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I don't foresee any white features on the album. if you go through her discography, it's actually VERY rare for her to have white artists on a standard album release. especially when she has this important of a thesis statement, I imagine she'll be highlighting more Black talent. (potential Dolly cover aside) Tracy Chapman seems like a no brainer to me. Gary Clark Jr is also very likely. Brittney Spencer and Yola could be songwriters easily. 4 1
Lose My Breath Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Do you guys think it'll be country, mixed with rock and blues? I do for sure, especially after her write up. I think we will all be surprised 1

Burn Posted March 21 Posted March 21 It would be cute to pay tribute to white country artists the way she did for Madonna in act i. Like she's gonna give Dolly etc their flowers for sure but that can be an offshoot of the album.

More so he's going to find an obscure X page that has a hater take on Bey resulting in him being completely distraught because "Beyonces image is on the floor and everyone hates her" nnn 1 2

Kristie Kuwa Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I came across this song and would love a song like this + I love the cheekiness of the lyrics
BnPac Posted March 21 Posted March 21 All those big pop girls' collaborations' ideas make my skin crawl. It's just such a bad idea and it wouldn't work. Plus having to deal with their fans after the fact is annoying as hell. Let the collaborations be few and very understated like Renaissance. 3 1

Burn Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Can we just take a minute to appreciate Bey's list of collaborators which is nothing short of impressive. She has songs and/or has performed with the following legends: Luther Vandross (Who had Luther on the first album?!) Prince Stevie Wonder Madonna George Michael The Isley Brothers Tina Turner Grace Jones Mary J. Blige And I feel like there's a couple more legends soon to be added to this list. Who else is doing this? 4 1

Who else is doing this? I mean Dolly is pretty much guaranteed at this point. She also had a performance with Celine 2
