This reminds me of what was said (I think Tina said it? Or perhaps Beyoncé said it herself but that seems less likely) about how much research Beyoncé did for Black is King (when people were calling her out for stealing culture or whatever). And I love to know that clearly, Beyoncé isn't just picking genres to do, she's fully diving into the history and more-or-less forgotten parts of what went into the development of the music she's referencing. TBH I wouldn't be surprised if there were a research team at Parkwood (similar to how authors often have teams of researcher to assist their work when discussing history) tasked with finding all these interesting pieces of history for her to reference and expand upon in her intentions. Or, History Detective Beyoncé is just on the case herself.

She’s become such the  history nerd /archivist . It’s impressive to see the growth. Art history, music history, black music .  Even going back to Work it Out , she was referencing Aretha, Donny Hathaway, and Tina Turner  when every artist was keeping it new  school . I remember during Bday she kept it very honest and told a reporter she does music for her people and it was kinda walked back a bit but I totally understood what she meant.  You can tell she is a researcher when she did her acting too because you can see the inspiration in the music

It’s so impressive to watch and I think Solo is as well so they Def get it from there parents . Like I discovered Princess Loko, Fela Kuti, the black national anthem, and now Black Country music and many other stuff from Beyonces latest projects .

She is always giving love to obscure artists which is great even though I know the inspiration gets her pummelled at times I can’t lie. Beyoncé has schooled me alot on artists like an episode of  Unsung  .

What people also don’t give Beyonce alot of credit on is how much her music is tea /true to life and actually very personal . People drag her for being private but I don’t think I’ve ever heard a song more personal than Ring Off or an album more personal than Lemonade .

The DVD that came with BDay also goes into detail, she used to do interviews about the album, let me try to find it.

It's this full thing since I remember the outfit, I have the DVD, she talks about the album process and how people didnt take the album seriously due to the 2-week turnaround. I also remember reading her saying she had songs lined up because the funk sound was inspiring her a lot after working with Jamie/Eddie (Jamie won an Oscar for Ray around this era) and Deena of course.

Omg. I’ve seen this clip before on one of those  conspiracy pages :rip:

This clip and the Beyonce Experience DVD clip of her asking God about why he gave her this life  went  viral back in the day .

Aww man, I need to go find more clips of this interview. I love the B’Day era.  I wish she would release the acapella of Bday to streaming . The acapella alone is incredible for many of these songs . So many harmonies get missed under the loud instrumentals/ horns .

I don't think she should release another song before the album. The album is only two weeks away. Having 3 tracks pre-album is too much. We only had BMS before Rennie.

True, but I was/am honestly hoping there’s a short teaser like she did with Rennie using the Pure/Honey instrumental that gives us a taste of another track (granted, that specific teaser was released the day Ren was dropped).

There are rumors that Act 1 and 2 visuals are merged together as one film while Act 3 is a second film with the visuals. It would be a perfect opportunity for her to release Act 1 and Act 2 visuals right after Cowboy Carter comes out. That sounds way too good to be true but I hope the rumors were true

That would be interesting.
Esp considering how the music is so different for both. But hey, if anybody could make it work, it’s Bey.

On the other hand:

"Beyonce releases her 10-year-magnum-opus" has a ring to it

:rip: Omg pls don’t put this into the universe.
I would hope in 10 years she would be way past the acts and onto a new album concept by then.

Nadia said "coming soon", and I'm sure she was referring to the visuals.

Who knows though if we will ever even get anymore information.  She didn't even put out a press release for this album, and she STILL hasn't explained the whole ACTs thing :rip:

Coming soon is the death of us :rip:

I no longer believe anything unless it comes from Bey directly. The fact that all info/hype for this album is on the back of a 30 second SB commercial is sending me

I’m kinda down for at least one more single before the album. We probs won’t be getting anymore singles once the albums out. So let’s try to milk the singles before she drops the whole thing and then disappears.

No need for another Single before the album drop. Stop being impatient.

THE is just picking up pace again. The Jolene track will obviously become the track thats gonna get most discussed on Album release which is great cause it'll make people interested to look into the album. You gotta hold these things close to you to maximize interest during album release

Nobody but BeyLegion has any type of insights on how Bey operates tbh

I just realized I'm seeing Madino on Cowboy Carter's release day.

Ou the overstimulation from the queens of music might just give me a stroke.

I haven't been able to overcome my obsession with this image. If I had stupid amounts of money to throw around, I'd commission an artist to turn it into an oil painting :jonny5:

Is it just me or did the excitement for Cowboy Carter grew massively again since yesterday? Ill be honest, I put THE and 16C out of my power rotation this last week and focussed on Arianas project, but today I just wanna listen to Beys songs again :jonnycat:

Definitely! I guess the title has settled for ppl, and to be honest- you can easily add the album to a Playlist, add your own and title it "Revolution", "Revival", "Rodeo"- whatever 😅😅️ (The behive have wanted her to namean album Revolution since 2011 a d I'm so over it 🤣). The only reason I've started listening to "Texas Hold'em" regularly is because the album is almost here. Granted, she isn't doing anything with the album for months, which is our fault since she hasn't flopped yet 🤣🤣☠️, look how long we were in drought spells after "LEMONADE" & "THE GIFT"

Listened to Arianas new album (C+), Halles new single today (cute, but Girl. . .), Cardis 2 new songs (stay in the studio, fav) and Tamars new single (get a real damn producer, a real damn label or go back into retirement) and. . .we be on Beyonce axx, but she definitely puts out quality, cohesive, timeless, genre bending music and structures her album/tour/visuals/Public appearance to coordinate within an era so seamlessly. Parkwood may skip or look over a million steps, but they definitely know how to string an era together. We all have our favs, our second best and those we've excepted for what they can manage to bring to the table, but Bey is not a fav for me. She is one of the few artist I consider 'the standard'

The fact the album is less than two weeks away and she’s managed to conceal the album cover is great.
