Rotunda Posted February 16 Posted February 16 So many of her haters from the past era are now banned or missing. Hoping a couple more users get banned this cycle. 8 1
Matangi Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I really hope its called RODEO. I also hope they reveal the official title next week and give us the pre-order with the amount of tracks. 3
BGKC Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Im seeing Irish step dancers and line dancers going viral all over TikTok with THE I don’t remember BMS covering this much ground. THE has a strong hold on middle America with R&B fans taking a liking to the switch up too. I can easily see this going #1 before the albums release. 6

Also can we talk about how we were speculating for 2 straight years about the MVs, the tour release, etc, only for her to drop all of this exactly the moment we were like "**** this *****". Her timing is sth else She always hits us off-guard RIGHT! Bey doesn't always get it right, but her overall approach makes stanning her so genuinely exciting. She definitely trolled in the movie about "slowing down". Following her career trajectory to a certain degree meant that her moves were actually quite easy to anticipate (in terms of the quarter she would drop, the sound, the likely tour frame etc. Now, it's amazingly impossible to call and I ride for her all the more because of it. 2

I'm not sure I totally "buy" the notion of it "always being the plan" for the Country visual to go first, as sis had a lot of the visual for Act I filmed and in the vault before the album came out. HOWEVER... I'm so here for this being the pivot. It's a little bit messy (starting with Act II visually and then reversing back to Rennie to then charge ahead to Act III). But I'm pretty sure if they market it all right, the GP will be none the wiser and eat it all up. Reveal hidden contents For all my excitement about everything, the **visual** side of things is still a huge head-scratcher. I really do think Act II will need a visual...something. Because we shouldn't underplay how much a lot of the early buzz for Rennie (outside of the music) was attached to our feeling that the visuals were for sure around the corner. Us having to now wait until all the acts are out for the full visual feels wild af, when putting it into the context of us **finally** getting the Rennie visuals in like 2025 (earliest) or 2026 (most realistic). It'd all be a great concept, but utterly ridiculous timeline-wise and honestly puts way too much pressure on these long-delayed visuals to be some Marvel-level slay (which they most likely won't be). Theres a lot about this project that we still don't know, but one thing I have learned is just to wait for her to show the real plan. I really even doubted the whole Act thing at this point, even though I did believe it when Act 1 dropped and we saw the booklet, where she mentioned the three acts for the very first time. For example this Rolling Stones article clearly mentions that the two singles were recorded just "a few months ago" https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/beyonce-country-songs-players-robert-randolph-rhiannon-giddens-1234967138/ So she may still work and finish the acts, while being on tour and promoting the first Act. That would also explain a lot of other things, like the lack of promo and visuals, because this monster project requires full focus and she probably had no time for anything else. Also, she was injured and had to make sure she is ready for the world tour.

I wonder if RS made a mistake or has the tea because Mama Tina made clear that she's been listening to the record (which most took to mean the entire album) for "years" which tallies with the idea of Bey recording everything over the pandemic. Similarly, a bunch of people who worked on the visuals confirmed that it was filmed up to a year ago. Who knows.

There’s the “38 summers” line from 16 carriages, which places it in 2019. Honey Dijon said she got her interest in going country after the CMAs (2016). There’s that guy that said Matthew Knowles went to a country radio station in 2017 and said that someone in her family was interested in doing country music. The instrumentalist from THE said she worked on it in 2021 or 2022. Tina saying she’s had the songs for years. So she could have recorded things for the songs some months ago (the Lexus line after the RWT partnership), but they’ve probably existed for years. Edited February 16 by Draper. 2

Mr. Specialist Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Right. Like, I am ready to preorder the album. I hope she has vinyl variants for Act II. Color vinyls would be so refreshing.

Devin Posted February 16 Posted February 16 i hope the branding remains the same: act i - RENAISSANCE act ii - RENAISSANCE act iii - RENAISSANCE RENAISSANCE World Tour the intention is to be a musical renaissance.
carameldelight Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Regardless what the intent was, I think this country era needs visuals.

cloudbusting Posted February 16 Posted February 16 my only “complaint” is that she picked a packed period with my other faves releasing because I feel overwhelmed (in a good way!) with choices on the bright side, having more to choose from will help me avoid overplaying any one of them and will keep everything fresh to me for a longer time

Navyboy20 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Can we find out how much streams and searches for artists like Mickey Guyton and Breland has increased this week? I feel like since Beyonce dropped I've seen their name pop up so many times as Black artists in country that don't really get a lot of national attention outside of the genre. Would be dope to see Beyonce's immediate impact on the country music industry. 3
