I’m sad it dropped in the US though lol

Everything within a range of 100k streams is not significant. All the metrics (AM, Itunes, Amazon, Spotify, Radio, TikTok) point to it being very stable and actually gaining momentum after the initial shock drop that obviously contributed to an initial peak interest

Honestly thinking about all the pop girls rn and no shade as Iike them all to an extent but just seeing how Ariana’s a decade in and struggling with this comeback and Bey is still there being able to compete with a hot artist like Dua in Dua‘s home market.. you really see how long she’s been there.

We’ve been saying this all decade but look how much has changed since 2022 even. We were happy enough with BMS after the disastrous post Lemonade era. Streaming benefits the artist so much when they do it right and seeing Taylor and Bey smashing like this is so cool. I feel like her catalogue will keep growing like Taylor’s did with Act 2 and 3. Seeing her on the chart with girls who debuted AFTER Lemonade is insanity. Everyone always comes for her never smashing as hard as x song or y album and then she gets another hit like this one :rip:

It’s gonna be interesting how markets in South America and Asia will respond in the coming weeks. It’s starting to show up on some Shazam charts which means they‘re still discovering the song, mainly from viral TikToks I assume.

The Duallah checks are bigger lol

Well Dua could get #1 and cover, no problem but Bey could have at least landed top 5. :dies:

My new theory about the visuals is the Renaissance is not actually the beginning of the story in them but she couldn’t lead the three act project with the country record because some people would’ve automatically lost interest. Renaissance caught the audiences attention and tying the country album to it is making Texas be successful now. :celestial5:

I wonder if somehow, someway, we can finally get her a real #1 hit in Canada.

#1 Perfect Duet

#2 Crazy In Love

#2 Baby Boy

#2 Naughty Girl

#2 Irreplaceable

#2 Beautiful Liar

#2 Single Ladies

#2 Mi Gente (Remix)

Imagine STREAMING numbers for the suprise drop WITH the videos on Youtube. Like... this woman is ALWAYS AHEAD of the standard and that's why she is legend. Michael helped make visual music media a popular thing with his ideas and video executions.

i think we have a stronger chance (since its catchy and GP appealing) than BMS. its just an awkward time bc idk who may drop and it peaks #2.

that's what i was thinking too. and it makes sense that if this album is her, she'd be having a rebirth and becoming a "new animal" as she did with RENAISSANCE. but RENAISSANCE was always the most commercial of the three acts, so she had to go with that. she made the right choice

so...

RODEO: she's talking about her roots, her life, her family, struggle and motivation, similar to I Am... side

RENAISSANCE: she's become this force in the industry and there's no stopping her, similar to Sasha Fierce side

REVOLUTION: ?

and I could read it through Hegel (i doubt she knows much about philosophy tho), but RODEO could be thesis, then RENAISSANCE would be antithesis which is the complete opposite to thesis, then REVOLUTION is the one to make the first two a one, it ends the conflict between them and makes the new entity. i'm reaching but it could make sense. the point is that the RODEO and RENAISSANCE are the opposites that are supposed to form something completely new

Oh I like that theory. Good one, and it does read as sth Bey would go for because of the layers of interpretation: on first glance, its about reclaiming these genres, but on a deeper level, its about her finding her true essence while all throughout her life, she kinda had a hard time choosing between Beyonce and Sasha, which then again is a recurrent theme of her career.

Tik Tok as usual is doing a lot to help this song. All Bey and her team need to do is release a music video with a cute choreo and it will stay steady on the charts.

I hope it’s not called Rodeo

I really question some Beyhives ( from Twitter ) intelligence / greed ... asking for  a  Renaissance Live Album now , when Act 2 is comming out in 5 weeks....

Like releasing the Live Album now will only cause confusion among the GP and distract from sales for Act 2.

I'm really excited for the album title and the album cover!

RODEO sounds really cool as an album title. RODEO > ENLIGHTENMENT.

Album Title: Rodeo

Tour (if there is one): Renaissance World Tour: The Rodeo

No clue how the box office rules work, but would be down for her getting creative so as to combine that box office gross.

We think alike. Thats the best!

Also can we talk about how we were speculating for 2 straight years about the MVs, the tour release, etc, only for her to drop all of this exactly the moment we were like "**** this *****". Her timing is sth else

She always hits us off-guard

I wonder when is the Renaissance tour film going to go on streaming

Dua's new song is tracking for around a 4M Spotify debut, so TH'E should out-perform! Depending on how Dua does in the UK specifically, Bey could snatch the #1 next week! :duca:

I'm SO down for this!

I'm not sure I totally "buy" the notion of it "always being the plan" for the Country visual to go first, as sis had a lot of the visual for Act I filmed and in the vault before the album came out.

HOWEVER...

I'm so here for this being the pivot. It's a little bit messy (starting with Act II visually and then reversing back to Rennie to then charge ahead to Act III). But I'm pretty sure if they market it all right, the GP will be none the wiser and eat it all up.

Spoiler

For all my excitement about everything, the **visual** side of things is still a huge head-scratcher. I really do think Act II will need a visual...something. Because we shouldn't underplay how much a lot of the early buzz for Rennie (outside of the music) was attached to our feeling that the visuals were for sure around the corner.

Us having to now wait until all the acts are out for the full visual feels wild af, when putting it into the context of us **finally** getting the Rennie visuals in like 2025 (earliest) or 2026 (most realistic).

It'd all be a great concept, but utterly ridiculous timeline-wise and honestly puts way too much pressure on these long-delayed visuals to be some Marvel-level slay (which they most likely won't be).
