My english must not be good enough because I don't get the play on words. What is it supposed to mean? :biblio:

A mix of French and English, I think.

C'est Sacré (sacred).

I still think she should release AS or Heated now along with the live album. They will probably flop now but it'll keep the era a bit more. It's been a long time since CI.

Edit : maybe just Heated, AS will probably ever stay an album's track.

I find this to be true with everything with her since Lemonade

I just watched the concert film and I loved it! It was so good. :jonny: It was low-key homophobic of her to omit the outro of Honey though. :biblio:

Haven't seen it yet, but if you're talking about the gorgeous lime green Gaurav Gupta gown you should watch your mouth because that's one of the best and that color looks amazing on her. :-*

No in the middle it cuts to a bunch of others including that blue hoop skirt thing

and that red one that has a fan on her chest :rip:

i don't dislike blue that much, but she had so many amazing dresses, but she choose a couple of the worst. She even showed that one in the UK from the beginning, that had huge boots and a thing hanging from her waist

The radio silence on the visuals in this film speaks volumes. I have fully lost any hope of them seeing the light of day unless they suddenly get suprise dropped.

She also didn’t use ANY of it in this movie and only used the bits that were filmed for the tour only!

I believe that Break My Soul will end up being a bigger classic than Cuff It. It just has the feeling, the right vibe. And it sounds timeless. It was a highlight of the show and somehow it just lifts you up. While BMS is Deja Vu, CI is Irreplaceable.

Its not just about the look of the dress - it was an intentional decision to show all the looks simply because she wanted all the concert goers to feel seen and be like "omg, thats what she wore at my date".

I can only speak from experience, that the little glimpse of the red intro outfit she wore at Hamburg resulted in a HUGE reaction at my cinema viewing in Hamburg, simply because people recognized it.

Add to that she also wanted to show appreciation to the designers, so theres that

I just went to my second viewing with seven of my friends, most of which I'd consider casual fans, with one or two stans in the mix and have all seen her live at some point. The reception they gave shocked me. Some cried, all of them laughed and when we left most of them even said it was the best film they've seen in years. They were all blown away. One of them is a die hard life long Swifty and said she felt guilty because she preferred this film.

Who'd have thought Bey could top HC? Not me, but she continues to outdo herself. Hopefully word of mouth caries this, at least until the next weekend because that rotten tomato score is no joke and completely justified.

came back from my third watch. I am floored. I want to go everyday for the rest of this year :dies:

it's so interesting how the crowds have been different for me on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Thursday was all-Hive, dressed up and all, whole room singing when she asked to sing "Flaws and All" and such. tonight's crowd was definitely milder.

however I'm happy to report that all 3 screenings were at least 85-90% full. Thursday and Friday were essentially sold out (with a few ADA seats avail at most). tonight the front two rows were empty but otherwise it was pretty full also.

Cuff It is already Beys 3rd most streamed song on Spotify, so nah.. its a modern day classic in her repertoire.

Its what All For You was to Janet, Hung Up to Madonna, Believe to Cher, etc

Agreed, she really outdid herself with this movie. It moved me deeply and for the first time, she really found the perfect balance between narration that felt genuine and non-scripted, bts footage, crowd showing and perfect showmanship. Just so inspiring overall and she just came across as so likeable and approachable.

Literally the best thing shes done in a whole while.

This is the Beyonce the world, and also us fans, needed to see! We were craving to see this Beyonce for so long. I'd say ever since the ST bts sessions.

Shes been guarded for way too long

And Irreplaceable was a year-end number 1 and look how no one cares about it today. I'm not saying people don't know it. They do. It's just that the other one is more beloved, especially with the Hive. My choice of words was bad. BMS probably would not end up being bigger in numbers, but it's gonna be beloved like Deja Vu. Cuff It will be treated in the base like Irreplaceable, Halo and Single Ladies are treated now

Ah so u mean their respective standing within the fandom?

Hmm, I'd argue Cuff It has a very similar vibe to it like Love On Top, which has become a staple in Beys repertoire and one of the Top5 classics.

Break My Soul is great and I've been a big supporter of the song ever since it dropped, but I feel like Cuff It has elements to it that will make Bey perform it well into her 50s while BMS might be ditched sooner or later at concerts

Just came back from the movie and wow! They will never make me hate this woman! This was nothing short of exceptional. Even if you went to the live show, you still need to see this concert at the movies. The editing during the formation/diva/run the world section deserves an Oscar!!! It was so seamless :jonny6:. My theatre wasn’t packed but had a decent amount of people. Most of them were singing and bopping but nothing too loud or over the top. The vibe was just right. BMS got the biggest reaction to my surprise followed by heated. Let me just say if Beyoncé plays her card right Act ii will be bigger than act i. The decision to release this film in theaters was a genius idea. I feel like this move kinda pushed bey in the gen z/relevant space and as such her audience has gotten bigger.

Awesome!!!! Excited to watch it tonight! 😫

NOTHING from this album should get Single Ladies/Halo/Irreplaceable'd.

This look was FAB. I remember so many of y’all dragging it when it was first revealed, it’s just camp in the right way. Honestly one of my faves :coffee2:

It’s gorgeous. I’d say that section is one of the best for looks, I’m obsessed with many of them.

It's whoever is mixing her music. If I'm shuffling a playlist and anything post 4 comes on, the music is jarringly lower than whatever came before. I have to blare Renaissance compared to anything else i listen to.

It's literally the same volume as music from the 70s that hasn't been remastered

Queen wanting to preserve our hearing so we are able to listen to her well into our 70s. A true master of longevity :jonny2:

I look at how high my volume is and I get scared and think I’m deafening myself but no, it’s just her stuff.

Can we bully her into releasing Heated after Xmas as the final bow to the Renaissance era?

:suburban:

I feel Heated would be a perfect closer, it has the potential to appeal to the straight as well as the girls, its easy to listen to, its melodic and the end is straight up fire and iconic :jonny:

its also such a moment in the movie

I don't like this look when her head is wrapped and I'm not huge on the jewelry. I was surprised they used this single outfit, head wrapped and all, for her "runway" walk during Energy. it would have been a great montage of her various slays but that section didn't get the most exciting looks I guess.

My favorite part was when she said she used to get a lemon-filled (pronounced limmon-field) donut near her dad’s barbershop. We’re both virgos and we both love lemony **** and Paris, soulmates iktr
