Didn’t think much else of it. anyways yall gotta learn im apart of insecure hive. I’m hive that always thinks beyonce is going to flop and thinks everyone is out to get her/hates her. I run to this base to see if others agree with me or if im doin too much. It’s usually the latter. If im being that bothersome ill stick to lipstickalley and instagram where we can be messy in unison. It is not my goal to bring down the energy in this base. Edited November 28, 2023 by Fleahive 1 1

swissman Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 17 minutes ago, Pepo said: I'll put it in other words. She's 42 and still vocally fit, ok, but how long until the next film? Or how long until she won't be able to rely on her instrument anymore? I don't want to be that person, but it's clear to everyone that her (fewer) F5s on this tour sounded pretty clunky, and that's because she doesn't feel not so confident. Why did she lower the key of the ballad section? Again, because of lack of confidence (apart from I Care). She deserves better fans who appreciate her for her extraordinary capabilities, I've always thought so. Now more than ever. You all can continue to look down on her vocal moments though, too bad this will 100% lead to the death of Beyoncé the Vocalist. Now I'm done. I'm considering watching the film illegally for now since she's pissing me off a lot lately. You must think you're talking to a different Swissman if you think I don't "appreciate her for her extraordinary abilities". I'm nothing if not appreciative of her talents and everything she's given us. I've not once looked down on her vocal moments, now or ever. Instead I've tried to reason about why certain songs are cut offering clear points about how they don't go with the rest of the music nor do they neither speak nor relate to the theme of the album the tour is named for. It's really that simple. If you want great vocal moments you only just have to look out for: Dangerously in Love Drunk in Love Crazy in Love Flaws and All VIRGO'S GROOVE Before I Let Go or any of the many scattered adlibs and impressive tricks she does with her voice that don't fit into the neat-and-tidy "it's a ballad therefore it's a good vocal" but that show dexterity in style, rhythm, and runs... including but not limited to both rap-sung moments and operatic moments. Anyway she seemed pretty darn confident on this tour to me. Perhaps the most confident she's ever been, because she didn't seem like she was trying to maintain laser focus, she was just there in the moment both vocally and how she moved through the performance and in that regard everything felt natural and near-spontaneous. But perhaps we just won't agree on this. You can think she should keep certain songs, I'm going to assume Beyoncé as the one who made the film knows best.
cloudbusting Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 sorry to once again throw in my pro-KC agenda, but we NEED her vocals on AHAP from that show to be in the film 1
Kristie Kuwa Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Watch her include some acapella moments during rehearsal in the film only to make the criers in this base look like fools again

I absolutely agree. they were DIVINE and really speak to the kind of vocals she excels at...crossing the line between the pure pop seemingly easier delivery and the classic ideas of great singers... the rap-sung moments mixed right into the operatic ones are stunning, and so amazing. 3

Also I think whoever decided to compare it to AHAP probably has no idea what they are talking about. I know a setup when I see it The title “My House” makes me think she sampled the monologue from the Motherboard interlude.
Armani? Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Now who is the editor on Beyonce's team lol Like, why turn the saturation & contrast down If they did the same thing with Julez it'd look similar to this
Blue Rose Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 People are saying that Solange’s son looks like Joanne The Scammer and I can’t unsee it

I was talking in general, more specifically addressing a certain group of "fans". My bad. 28 minutes ago, swissman said: I've not once looked down on her vocal moments, now or ever. It's really that simple. You do have a point indeed, but then again I don't really see the purpose of including, for example, Thique when Bey clearly hates this song and looks bored to death throughout the entire performance meanwhile it's the exactly the opposite when she sings 1+1. 30 minutes ago, swissman said: Crazy in Love The iconic run was pre-recorded, which is another sign of her lack of confidence... or maybe she simply became a bit lazy. Who knows. 33 minutes ago, swissman said: VIRGO'S GROOVE Exquisite song, but it's pre-recorded (apart from the medley). 34 minutes ago, swissman said: or any of the many scattered adlibs and impressive tricks she does with her voice that don't fit into the neat-and-tidy "it's a ballad therefore it's a good vocal" but that show dexterity in style, rhythm, and runs... including but not limited to both rap-sung moments and operatic moments. I know, see I'm That Girl, the phrased E5s on Run The World, the operatic notes on Diva, etc. At least, you know that ballads require full singing all the way through though. 42 minutes ago, swissman said: Anyway she seemed pretty darn confident on this tour to me. Well, she's the one who claimed that 4 was her fav album, hence the large number of songs off it on this tour... more than ten years after its release. It's hypocritical to point out this and then shelving the songs that she openly admitted to love. She made the movie with the GP in mind and probably thought that there were too many ballads for the average person. Such fallacy won't help her legacy in the long run considering that Adele is doing great.
Anvarie Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8fXUVtH/ The person who posted the video being extremely shady in the comments and Jhudsters trying to convince hope OT: I would kill someone to hear Beyoncé cover Vision of Love or Fantasy

I'm a big fan of the editing process, removing elements that may be amazing but without which creates a more solid whole. I haven't seen the film of course, so maybe it's a wrong choice, I just think overall it feels like it makes complete sense given everything considered. 1
swissman Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 (edited) the first act of the tour seemed like a legacy moment and in person you can develop a good 15 minutes of time but in a film where there's also documentary-footage, I can't see it giving much editorially to go through all ~5 songs until we get to I'M THAT GIRL... it is, after all RENAISSANCE: a film by beyoncé. swissman Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 (edited) My House is actually such a great name for an act I bonus song.... the welcoming vibes of the song... very mother of the house, very I've cooked something good for you... like a cousin of Suga Mama in title. swissman Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 (edited) one of her most underrated/under-discussed looks imo. if I were making a top twenty this would be in it. Edited November 28, 2023 by swissman 7
Machete Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Why is "My House" giving figment of imagination. Haven't seen much mention of it on Twitter. Who even started the rumour

ShouldersSideways Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Frankly most of her red carpet looks have been middle of the road. Pretty but nothing special. However, she absolutely has the best performance and music video looks maybe of all time. 2

ShouldersSideways Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Soooo with the knee surgery confirmed... do we think this new style of dance-lite is here to stay forever or she was just going easy this tour to give herself time to heal? I don't know anything about knee surgery or injury, but she reinjured herself from a performance 20 years ago. (I also wonder what that performance was)

Anvarie Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 This took awhile but I did the Beyoncé tier maker. I considered album version only (live changes it way too much). I also considered the songs based on the era/where she was at musically. Otherwise IASF would’ve done pretty poorly in comparison to Renaissance. The “Meh” category does contain songs I’ve never heard, but I decided to only put songs I know well that I don’t care for in the “To the Left” section. Spoiler Yes I only listened to The Gift once and it bored me Let me know what y’all think of my taste. 1 3
