1 hour of tour footage + bts stuff homecoming style, especially if it’s only the Ren songs cause lbr we don’t need more footage of crazy in love or love on top anyway, followed by a 1h30 full visual album would be great

but it would still suck to miss out on footage from the entire concert :ace:

i don't think we'll get like full footage of songs. i think it will be highlights, for example her singing energy and the "mute challenge" and then maybe some bts stuff around creating that section of the tour. that's how i think the tour will be incorporated into this project. i don't see it being like "bts footage" and then her performing a whole song/section of the tour then more "bts footage"

I don’t like the all encompassing film concept that’s being discussed.

That’s why promo is supposed to be spread throughout an era, not jam packed into one film, where you are still cheated out of the full experience.

And when the Formation segment tonight starts with "You've asked for the visuals... ugh here you go, enjoy, peasants! Buy the parfum and the shampoo though"

If the cinemas promote it half as much as #that girl’s movie she will be more than fine with the tour. I’m from a small town in Spain and she has 10 sessions on her opening Friday and 15 sessions her first Saturday (three of them at noon, almost completely empty tho). And that’s just one cinema, there’s two more showing it.

Well if we had something proper to go off of instead the “all of the above” multiple choice style film description, I wouldn’t have referenced the wide awake singer.

tbh I mostly just like to kick a dead horse when it’s down or whatever

i think the visuals are coming separately,  possibly on streaming to hype ticket sales or maybe even simultaneously?

i don’t see her not releasing them, especially with billing the director for the tour.

but I’d say we officially have a countdown. If they don’t come by the 1st they don’t come.

like i said in my earlier post. i think this will be an accumulation of "the making of the album/tour bts footage along with tour footage" and then it will be followed by the full film/visuals she filmed for the songs. i really don't think the concert is the "center piece" of the project (the way it was for homecoming, or i am)

But it’s called Rebirth: Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour, not Rebirth: Beyoncé’s Renaissance Journey or something like that. :katie: We’ll see with the trailer today.

Yeah I would rather this be a visual album with 2 - 3 acts of music videos that are maybe tied with bts production / story interludes to tie the videos together

i want the concert on its own front to back with no interruptions

I’d LOVE this. The visuals on streaming would be great because they would become a collective experience and they could go viral, making people want to check the Tour film. That’s the best possible scenario imo.

I mentioned yesterday she needs something more to spread the word.

I don’t really want to discuss the gross because she’s not a teen/pop favorite at the moment. Those are the fanbases that run to the theaters.

I’m hoping she does at least Coldplay’s numbers. Which I think was $10 million overall.

IDK, the gays might show up in their outfits looking for themselves on screen.  The tour was successful in a mainstream way, and had a big weird underground-type following too.

the tour is also three hours long and this film is supposed to be 2 hours and a half so you're already not getting some of it in full if we are basing it off of that. also, at that point where would you stick in the bts footage?

The tour without interludes is roughly 2h.

And 2h30min is too precise to not be an estimation (the main concert for the film was filmed last week, it’s very likely not edited yet).

I'm pretty sure the ballad section and some of the (very long) Formation section are getting cut, she's gonna want to focus on Renaissance.

Beyoncé wanted everyone to view her as a legacy act then we should expect legacy act numbers for the film LOL. Which won’t be that much, I’m just grateful we finally have something. I’m still perplexed about why they chose to do this so soon after the blockbuster hype the other artist got. The media comparison is going to be inevitable and exhausting.

I feel like she recorded several shows, including ATL, LA, and several others
