Aslan Posted April 22 Posted April 22 we've got a new A sighting and that waist is cinched mother looking gorgeous as always
Støned Posted April 22 Posted April 22 I just wanna rant here. I'm so sick of ( my fellow) Swifties, discrediting Adele's first week sales just because half of it came from "cheap ass itunes downloads".. It makes my blood boil but I don't want to release negative energy in this site. There's too much of it tbh. 2

Yeah, I had to push back on that claim in the charts thread I guess some swifties, and other fandoms, forgot about how Taylor said And we see you over there on the internet Comparing all the girls who are killing it But we figured you out We all know now, we all got crowns You need to calm down
Aslan Posted April 23 Posted April 23 I can't wait for Adele to be free from the shackles of that residency. Girly can't even enjoy a night out without it being linked…

I usually just lurk this base from time-to-time, but I guess I'll post… The Adele discrediting makes me think that many of these Taylor Swift stans must be pretty young. Because I have a hard time believing that they would be discrediting what Adele did if they had been old enough to truly experience the Hello/25 release in all its glory. That song and album release was truly a sight to behold. As a general fan of music, I have doubts I'll ever experience anything like that release again in my lifetime. It was wild. The world felt like it stopped; I wish I could re-live it. Taylor's numbers are also of course very impressive to say the least. I what to give her credit where credit is due. 3
supertiffany Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Adele did those with so much less efforts no versions, no tactics, no mobilization of her fanbase it's all organic, yes what was done by blondie is impressive but that was effort of years and years of cultivation of her fanbase meanwhile Adele just went it without all those strategy to be obsessed about, she's just always about the music 3
Donquizote Posted April 23 Posted April 23 I think she will debut with 1M+ for next album. It seems like GP are missing her She just needs to release fresh sound. 1
Donquizote Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Her stream number is not bad considering she only has 71 songs for her entire discography. Imagine if she releases every year The problem with her is she's lazy and doesn't want to try anymore. She could easily make 1B at tour gross if she tried. 1
Donquizote Posted April 23 Posted April 23 And she has many SOLO classics that GP are still streaming. 1

I feel like pure sales days are over for anyone who doesn't have a big hardcore fanbase or is not a gen z favorite. They buy vinyls for aesthetics ofc Sony could try something, but it's the streams that have been the biggest issue with 30, other than EOM I still think people do like 30, they just don't feel like listening to it often, if that makes sense But there will be a huge discography streaming boost when she drops the next album. Even bigger than in 2021 probably. And also a big boost this August with the Munich shows

And also a big boost this August with the Munich shows the fact that she's nearing 900K without a big fanbase, signed albums, multiple versions makes it so much impressive. but yeah unless she had 5 EOM kind of smashes in the next album 1M seems far reach, because she doesnt have a big fanbase.
anti-bitch Posted April 23 Posted April 23 One thing about 30 that I think many people don't know or remember is that it sold 205k digital downloads (basically itunes sales) in US in first week. That's the biggest digital sales in recent years. And I think that's mostly older people purchasing it. You know they are the ones who have money for (premium) Vegas or Munich tickets So, regarding touring, I think she's set for life. People seem to be willing to pay anything to see her live. But it would be nice to get those people to buy the next album somehow 1

I feel like she might be more ambitious with A5. This might be the time she finally ditches the age theme. Would you guys want her to do that? 1

Would you guys want her to do that? I think she needed to do 30 to close that chapter of her life and tbh judging from the lyrics and sound it was a really difficult time for her compared to 19,21 and 25. now she's in a new mindset with Rich and she's just gleaming with confidence which I think will channel its way throughout A5 (hopefully) so I'm ready for her romantic era.

Yep, this is the time for her to change direction in the tone of her music, she could totally make A5 a self-titled as a way to conclude the age theme 1

Mike91 Posted April 23 Posted April 23 She definitely needs to change things up for the next album (and I don't mean garbage like Oh My God ). I'd like to see her do more R&B inspired material. Something that's not completely alienating but a little more outside of her comfort zone. She played it way too safe with 30 imo and she doesn't need to at this point. I personally think it has some of her best work but it just felt like a continuation of her past two albums. 2

Aww, I actually like OMG more than Send My Love or CIGI but i guess you can tell it's not really a natural sound/style for Adele. Like she said "I just love a piano and me vocal" But even with just a piano or guitar/base you could do something faster, like I'm Still Standing by Elton John
anti-bitch Posted April 24 Posted April 24 I'm so curious about how the next lead single will perform, especially the first day streams, because that's gonna show us how excited people are to hear some more/new Adele songs. I have a feeling it's gonna be a lot of people still And don't forget EOM has received 1.68B streams on Spotify and that's in the top 20 most streamed songs released since 2021. I was just looking at the numbers on Kworb's website 1
Virgos Groove Posted April 24 Posted April 24 I need her to get on her Sade/George Michael sophisti-pop bag and give us more classics like All Night Parking and her cover of Lovesong. 1

A Sade-inspired album is exactly what I want from her. It would suit her voice perfectly and be a change up for her without alienating fans. 4
