apparently every american artist is gonna go bankrupt because of the new rule :bibliahh: what is this logic

they’re so far away from reality :ahh:

no one else is earning from bulk buying except from them (and swifties) do they really think website sales serve anything other than chart purposes? when you look at revenue chart Butter barely earned anything compared to other #1 songs due to the discounts :deadbanana2:

Now limit remixes to 1.

I don't think that BB should limit songs to just 1 remix but there should probably be some max that can count for 1 song before creating a 2nd separate single product.

they're claiming that they only mass buy in order to give money to their faves (as if they need it) but if that's the case then they can still "give them money" by mass buying it just won't be counted on the charts :dies:

right like mass buy their CDs then if you want to “give them money” they do anyway & that’s more profitable for the band. ofc they’re crying about this when Hot 100 is involved, even though they’re trying to boycott Billboard. sure hun :rip:

Exactly, not to mention multiple streams.

Anything purchased is a purchase, no matter how many times one person purchases something.

Yet again disadvantaging acts who rely on sales to chart that don't get airplay or on the most subscribed to playlists :|

They’re not preventing anyone from purchasing what they want. Just setting boundaries on what counts for the charts. Only ppl who wanna game the system would be mad at this.

Seriously can they just ban this group from

charting altogether? The way they’re blatant about their fraudulence too :dies:

People complaining about airplay when it is mostly the reason why the pop girls serve longevity on the chart… :rip:

you're right & you should say it :clap3:

streams ARE filtered too. what are they talking about :deadbanana2: it's why fanbases like this resort to fraudulent sales because they couldn't cheat their way from mass-streaming. and you can STILL purchase physical copies. it's just those sketchy website/digital sales (not to mention useless, who needs multiple digital copies) that are meant to manipulate charts they obviously set boundaries for. it's completely NOT an accurate method of measuring popularity.

and how is "bulk buying" going to balance airplay. here's the thing, they can AND bts' label did pay to get added to playlists/radio adds- but you can't buy real audience :clown:

notice how Swifties aren't even mad at this  they essentially can make Taylor chart with streaming & album physical sales- Taylor's just mostly being extra, but she still pull numbers without those. i don't think they're buying those elvira remixes to keep anything stable & that's the difference.

So 1 digital and up to 4 physical. Doesnt seem like anyone is really sure if thats per transaction or per person/week. I kinda remember credit card number being involved there, that would make the limit per person.

Remixes obviously count separately. I would think just a different cover of a physical wouldnt, if its the same track(s).

Think that change makes sense, but also doesnt seem like it should effect much outside of maybe BTS

This is going to hurt Suga's ego so much! That punchable trash who's ridding other members success, he's going to have a meltdown.

the replies... i have never in my life seen a group of people so insecure and sad

also you can still bulkbuy if you want it just won't count, why do they act like they are advocating for small artist when they are dumping their money into multi millioners :rip:

it’s honestly tragic :rip: them saying we can’t buy our favourite artist’s music now as if you need to buy 4 times every week to listen to a song :rip:

Will this not Just add more ridiculous additional versions to be released? Because every seperate edit and remix still counts as An additional sale, right?

Like for example BTS could release a 2 min duration song, they have 7 members?

01. Main 2 min version

02. Main version with extended intro

03. Main version with extended outro

04. Main version with extended intro and outro

05., Main version with feature

06. Main version with added bridge

Etc

Repeat this for the radio edit

Add additional remixes

Add versions where every member sings Each other part

Etc.

Because technically this would be allowed then? Right? Add additional e-mails and creditcards and songs are still bought in bulk kinda. If acts want to cooperate, these rules Will be 'avoided'

Nice try, but wouldn't affect BTS because they have at least a dozen versions of the same song available all the time. Now they'd just increase the amount of versions available to circumvent the rule.

This doesn’t change anything. Multiple versions of songs are already released, remix of each multiple version. Moreover one can just buy 12 times over the same song with different transactions. Some stans have the patience and the time.

yes but they have work TWICE for how they already worked twice to begin with :rip: with Butter, the released an alternate cover within a couple of weeks the remixes were starting to get stale, which is barely an effort but it counts as another fraudulent sales. now they'll have to adjust tactics to see another way to override the rules. showing how desperate they are, so yes it won't stop them it's true, but this is an example as to how they were the ONLY ones benefiting from this. smaller artists my ass. they never care about anyone having success aside from their boys & those who work with them :rip:
