Oof… This is definitely a sucker punch but still amazing numbers.

Honestly the rollout was horrible and EOM was a weak lead single.

Not to bring up Taylor considering the wars already happening in here, but it’s a bit jarring to go from the impressive debuts of Folklore/Red TV to Adele’s massive decline :skull: Both ladies are the industry though, make no mistake. Taylor, Drake and Adele are the undeniable power trinity and none of them are touching 1m atm so I fear those days are over.

30 will be that album you constantly see littered across grocery store bargain bins

500k pure sales and there’s probably another million still left on the shelves.

She won’t release another album for 8 years so they WILL be sold!

Anyways, hoping this hits 1m still. It would most likely be the last album to ever reach this.

I already know Katy is a flop and won’t amount to her peak days anymore but it is ironic that someone is pointing out a sharp decline when their fave experienced one just as sharp 10+ years ago :deadbanana4:

her fans are confident that prediction might increase to 3M  :jonny5:

They are good numbers, sure extremely downgrade from her previous record. But the one before had an amazing lead single "Hello" and the entire album was amazing... I can’t say the same about this one, even with all those amazing reviews, the album was really meh, not as powerful as her previous ones. Maybe that will shake her a little bit, she sound a little arrogant thinking she's better than everyone. So maybe now release music earlier? Not every 8 years.

I'm almost convinced the positive reviews were paid for. Like how do you give an album that has dead-eyed, soulless songs like I Drink Wine, Hold On, and Love is Game each of which just drags and drags absolutely nowhere for nearly 7 minutes.... and then also has absolutely cringe uptempo attempts like Cry Your Heart Out and Can I Get It a positive review like 90 or even 100. This album is a 6/10 at the absolute max

Thisll probably go up and be the highest in years but I'm surprised it's less than a million.

Labels are probably rethinking their strategies now.

25's opening week(s) numbers were anomalous and rode the hype/success of 21 (aka the biggest album of the century)

And with how much the industry has changed I had a feeling she wouldn't do 1m, these numbers are still great and I doubt Adele gives a damn anyway. The funny part is if Taylor were to open with these numbers, it would be nothing but "smash," "music industry" etc. Just goes to show that ATRL holds Adele to a higher standard than anyone else

everyone knows that gurl, she was always on her own league. until now.

the swifties anger and obsession is very concerning. they make you think Adele has just come for their fave. like wtf? it reminds me of their hatred against Katy, but that was somehow understandable. Now they just don't like the fact another popstar is selling.

I was told she was easily doing +1.2M and stomping on Taylor :bibliahh:

No. 25 went from possibly breaking Britney's record (1.3m), to probably breaking Eminem's record (1.8m), to definitely breaking NSync's record (2.4m), to freaking wiping the floor with every possible record and then a cherry on top. Each single updated prediction went astronomically higher and higher. It was such an amazing moment to witness it.

The way you describe moments in pop culture is so vivid. Loves it.

Love, Red TV first prediction was around 450k and she eventually 600k, It’s not out the cards just yet for Adele to push another 200k :giraffe:

The album has little to no replay though :stare:

Adele stans been trying it with The Music Industry the whole week and this is what they get? Y'all...

:ahh:

:ahh:

I mean it's the biggest debut of the year... what's there to drag? Everybody knew 25's first week sales were an anomaly and she was never going to get close to that again, especially with the decline in the industry overall.

Albums just don't sell anymore and the change in the industry was always going to catch up with her and her team's relatively outdated model. She's still one of the biggest musicians on the planet. The fact that even a huge decline for her still leaves her on top says it all. :rip:

This is honestly probably about as good as anyone can do anymore. Her focus going forwards needs to be on building a bigger platform on streaming but I honestly don't think she cares enough to do it. :rip:

We know the final number will be higher.

Best number without bundle (and multiple versions), and she will break vinyl sales record 100%. Congratulations to Adele and her fans!

Got to give credit to where it is due

Even if these numbers are "underwhelming" for Adele, you can't drag them. 800k+ is still outstanding. :dies:

slskskskksdkskks this week is gonna be so ****ing messy :bibliahh:

I honestly expected around 1M....these numbers are definitely low but obviously still good for this climate. I kinda like how her success is finally leveling itself out though. She won't be pulling 21/25 numbers with each release, that's absurd and I believe she will feel more free now.

Poor the girlies who have been hiding behind her to drag Taylor though. The way they literally NEVER win :jonny5:

It's certainly not out of the cards, I think it's possible! But I don't want anyone to get the impression that we know for sure that these numbers will rise; the don't always do so. Red TV, for example, started around there with a prediction early on Saturday, and it was already adjusted up by now. It continued to rise because it held stronger throughout the week than was expected based on her prior performance with Fearless TV; it's hard to say what HDD expects for an attachment rate for 30 when it's been so long since 25, so it could increase or just stay the same (though I don't think there's any way it goes down).

The fat activists left her. They will come around if she goes back to being obese. Hopefully her health comes first.  Congrats Adele and her Adelators.:clap3:

On a serious note, Adele is doing great, better than great even, it's just that Taylor is stomping on everyone. We grew up with Taylor, our loyalty is unprecedented.

Is the first paragraph necessary? :biblio: If only loyalty translates to some decency.
