Good evening guys and girlies and enbies and welcome to ATRLvision Song Contest! (we’re still working on the name and branding kii)

 

Now, you might ask yourself, but there is another ATRL song contest already, isn’t there? And yes, you are right BUT ATRLvision Song Contest will follow the format and rules of our beloved European show!

 

You know how it works! 

 

Simply pick a country from around the globe (yes bitch, we’re going international) and send a song via the Google Form link in the second post.

 

A few things to keep in mind when selecting a country/song

Quote

• The artist must have a connection to the country; either be born there or have one parent born there (Lady Gaga for Italy won’t count)
• All UN member states + Palestine, Kosovo and Taiwan are eligible
• The song has to be released in 2021
• Please refrain from sending big names and try to keep the originality to the fullest.
• Also refrain from sending Eurovision acts (I don’t wanna see no Måneskin for Italy, okay?)
• It’s first come, first serve so be quick!

 

There will be two recaps for the two semi-finals done in the ESC style (eg. 20-second bits of the song) so that you won’t have to torture yourself with listening to songs you don’t want to, although listening to them in full would be recommended.

For now, the size of participants would be narrowed down to 32 (16 countries in each semi-final).  Only 10 acts will qualify from both semi-finals therefore we will have 20 countries in the Grand Finale!
