It was great to see all of your interactions with the players and we hope that you all enjoyed your time on Planet of the Idols. To those of you who weren't chosen to visit Buddy!, blame it on random.org! Pretty much every round, we randomized the list of players left in the game and asked Buddy to pick a number. The chosen number would go to Planet of the Idols that round. The only two times that the visiting person was not random were Round 4 (when @DougAF was exiled) and at the merge (when @Gateau received @bowdown's prize from the galaxy board to visit there). rl231 Posted April 11, 2020 Author Share Posted April 11, 2020 9) Final 6: Live Tribal With Staryu leaving, the majority alliance was down a member, and Gateau especially was on the outs with them, mainly for being argumentative whilst defending himself during “homeless gate.” To make matters more interesting, we had a live challenge and a live tribal, which is honestly one of my favorite times in the game. There’s an almost chaoticness to these live tribals that I really love. Anyways, the Walk Down Memory Lane challenge happens, and Gateau wins while having his aunt yell at him. This then leaves Krazii vulnerable in the minority with an immune Gateau. He’s destined to go out but not without a fight between Gateau and everyone else. Gateau, to his credit, really tried to save Krazii by appealing to the others to rock the boat and go to rocks to really shake up the game. Krazii seemed very over it because, from what it looks like, they tried to personally message the other group to no avail. Gateau wanted to appeal to dussymob directly to take control of the game because it seemed that dussy was on the bottom (tbh, it seemed like that to me too, but Nick had other plans and wanted to get rid of Clueless at some point). Gateau was saying that he should take them to the end because it’ll be easier to win with them vs. harder to win against everyone else, which fell on deaf ears. rl231 Posted April 11, 2020 Author Share Posted April 11, 2020 8) Round 5: @Moonlightbae blindsided with an idol in his pocket In one of the first rounds of the game, moonlightbae quickly discovered an idol on the Galaxy board. He seemed to be pretty strong socially on his first tribe, so it was a surprise when things shifted to him after the swap. What was really interesting about this vote was that moonlight did not do well in the challenge AT ALL that round (getting a 3.3 average). Not sure why he didn’t feel inclined to play the idol, but oh well - the blindside went through and shows that you can never be too confident in Survivor! It can be difficult to play around an idol, and the Telesto majority did a great job here. This vote was one of the most critical of the pre-merge as it solidified the core alliance of the season (Touch It, Clueless, Staryu, and dussymob) and really began their arc as the minority at the start of merge that would eventually take over. rl231 Posted April 11, 2020 Author Share Posted April 11, 2020 7) Final 10: Vote switcher takes out Guero - a surprise bitch moment So typically whenever I’ve watched Survivor, the person that flips usually stays on the side they flipped to...but not dussymob. All he really wanted to do was get rid of Boys and then he went back to his original alliance. Originally, the alliance of now 4 (Alena, Staryu, Touch It, and Clueless) were PISSED at dussymob and wanted to get rid of him. Dussymob went back to them and said that he wanted to work with them still, even though he just flipped on them. The alliance accepted him back into their fold, and they were a fivesome, splitting the game in half. This was the last round before Planet of the Idols would be revealed to everyone, and we had five people left that haven’t gone that were still in the game: Alena, Staryu, Touch It, Clueless, and Guero. The odds were in that aforementioned alliance, and Staryu gets selected. His challenge is about “Crafting Your Resume” and he has to take punishments, in order to get his prize. He takes the punishments, and his prize...a vote switcher. This was absolutely paramount to the rest of the game because if it weren’t for the vote switcher, we might’ve gone to rocks. However, the vote switcher is used on Not Like the Movies, and Guero is voted out in a vote of 6-4. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

rl231 Posted April 11, 2020 Author Share Posted April 11, 2020 6) Final 7: Homeless Gate By the final seven, the Galatea group had been picked off one by one, and only Gateau and Krazii remained. Following an incredible entry in the Create an EP challenge, Gateau was immune, leaving only Krazii vulnerable. However, Gateau had another trick up his sleeve… when Planet of the Idols was revealed a few rounds prior, an immunity necklace was hidden in Buddy’s historic posts. Gateau was the first person to find the necklace, and at the final 7, he decided to bestow it on Krazii, thus forcing the majority 5 to turn on each other. At first, it seemed like Clueless/Touch It/dussymob were going to come up with an interesting blindside, but then things got a bit ugly. The majority alliance basically sat down and said “who wants to go home?” with the end result being Staryu as the easiest option. This was a shock to the hosts because Staryu was our winner pick since very early in the game! The tribal council seemed to be signed, sealed, and delivered, but all hell then broke loose. Gateau tried to get people to talk game with him and nobody was biting. Touch It then decided to start some drama in the thread, posting screenshots from dussymob where Gateau referenced being “homeless” and still able to respond to him. This private conversation was interpreted in many different ways by the contestants, jury, and bystanders, resulting in multiple fights throughout the day in the thread and in the Discord server. In essence, I feel like this was the moment where Touch It basically tanked his game. The jury was pretty pissed off at him for posting this! At the same time, many people were annoyed at Gateau for his statements too. This tribal council was honestly a MESS, and not in an exciting, strategic way. A bizarre series of events, it was truly the pinnacle of personal drama and ugly behavior during this season. It is one of the most notorious moments in the ATRL Games section that I have ever seen in 6 years of being here. OTTN edgic ratings all around.
